Bolismoker Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 For any of you guys who age boxes in wax paper. Would you mind posting up a walk through or some pics or both of your process? I'm looking to start doing this with some long term aging boxes but would love to learn some best practices.
Paul3 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I used to use wax paper as an inexpensive way to seperate vitolas. Is there any particular benefit to wrapping a box in eax paper for ageing?
Bartolomeo Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Thought about Glassine paper instead? Or vacuum sealing?
Roanoke Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 There are TONS of threads about this on this and other sites. I don't have a link, but the search function returns a lot of good results.
LGC Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Just wrap it like a sandwich. You could also use aluminum foil... or just dip the boxes in wax...

Gold wax, or red wax? What about scented - could I use that, or would it embed the aroma too much into the cigars?
olotti Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Whats the purpose of vacuum sealing if the cigars are stored in proper conditions? Wont the lack of air circulation slow the actual ageing process? Always kind of wondered. Sorry for the small thread jack.

Can someone point me in the right direction?
