Nino Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I put some of my new personal bands on very lovely and oily Salomones rolled by Santos, some of the last he rolled at the Comodoro Casa del Tabaco ( La Escogida ) before retiring. And although I brought over some very interesting cigars like the Cabeza Tumbada ( Resting Head ), a smaller 109, the Lusitanias GR or some more of the excellent MC 520, I didn't dare put on more of my new bands on the cigars as I know Cuban officials do not "encourage" having their coat of arms used by foreigners. All other Cubans are proud ... I am quite used to banding cigars by now, so that will be done here. As the saying goes : Un tabaco sin anilla es como una casa sin balcon .... finecigar Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Look at those glistening wrappers! Can't wait to visit Cuba some day and experience watching the famed rollers. Lovely bands btw too
Nino Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 Look at those glistening wrappers! Can't wait to visit Cuba some day and experience watching the famed rollers. Lovely bands btw too Hurry up - the " famed" rollers are by now counting boxes or serving coffee ... From no "materia prima" to " no rolling of "special vitolas" like Diademas, Salomones etc - only "approved" vitolas now. Fear and stupid decisions are running high in Havana lately
Smokntaz Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Love the bands and some fine smokes you got there!
