Jnaube Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 They are aging like every other EL. Because every EL post-2005 is exactly the same. Cocoa powder-dusted wrappers, identical blends with aged leaves. Don't you think it's a bit far fetched to say that every EL since 2005 are the same?
PigFish Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Hells bells and ELs smells, all sounds the same to a deaf guy! -Piggy

PM on its way.
CanuckSARTech Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Oliver, it's like CQ said - not on the open forum, but it can be discussed privately between members. That said, good luck - most all stock on Monte Sublimes are gone the way of the dodo. Aside from private sales / premium auctions, not many reputable online retailers have them in general stock anymore. A few of us gobbled up the left over stock at a few haunts a couple of years back now.

Hoepssa Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Smoke them now, from whole this 12 months I have smoked, nothing different and it's a bit dull, but this one is way better than most cuban cigars in the market now.
Skyfall Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I've broken into my stash lately to revisit. They are amazing!!!
stunod Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 If you have them, smoke em. I think they peaked about a year ago. They are mellowing out too much. I still love them. Smoke em if you got um.

jedipastor Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Not sure how we're defining "nuance," but I can say that both the '08 Sublime and the '10 Grand Edmundo are quite different than the regular production Montes, at least to my palate. They are still definately Montecristo, but at the very least "tweaked." Of the two, I prefer the Grand Edmundo, though.
Fuzz Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Mine haven't mellowed out. Still full-bodied, the flavours have settled down and the harshness is gone.
kuma Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 why having a dark wrapper on the LE (Punch) is going to make you cry. Dark wrappers are what everone is after. Correct me if I am wrong or just enlighten me.
oliverdst Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Just had one. At this moment they are not worth any extra coin. Maybe (even) some more time.
