sw15825 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Hello, my name is Shawn. I have been a member here and another forum since 2010. I have been smoking CCs for 6 years and cigars for about 9 years. I have not been too active on forums, doing alot of reading from more experienced brothers on the forums. I want to get more active in the community and share my passion for cigars. I just picked up the 54s fairly recently and have 2 150 qt sea chests and a 70qt. Regards, and happy smoking!!, Shawn.
Trent0341 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Very nice. Always love seeing pictures of other people's collections.
celtmick1984 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Very nice collection; you have good taste, . . . but I thought you were sharing. I'd be happy to send an address. I too went the coolidor route and loving the space. Enjoy them!
Lotusguy Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Nice! What do you use for humidification? I assume beads?
sw15825 Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Thats a man who digs Cohiba. Nice collection. Thanks, I do like cohiba and they seem to be getting better and better. I try to be picky with them and get the right boxes. I also like Punch, Hoyo, Bolivar and Trinidad. Oh and I wish I could get some more dip 4s
sw15825 Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Nice! What do you use for humidification? I assume beads? Yes, beads I like to aim for 63 rh and as close to 65 F as possible.
sw15825 Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 I am almost embarrased to post this after looking at Barts collection, But feast your eyes on CORO SUB SEP 11. LOL, I picked up 4 cabs of these at ravi's deal end of last year. All the same code and close to these in appearance. I must stay out of them, they are smoking very well allready.
CanuckSARTech Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Beautiful looking BHK 54's and CoRo's. An excellent looking stash there. Well done, and thanks for sharing. Cheers.
CaptainQuintero Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Sweet! I bet those coolers smell awesome when you open them up!
sw15825 Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Sweet! I bet those coolers smell awesome when you open them up! It really does! It's the greatest smell in the world!!
CaptainQuintero Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 It really does! It's the greatest smell in the world!! Here's a thing, see if the smell changes over the next 6 months to a year, this time last year my fridge smelled like milk choc digestive cookies, by the summer it changed to a fruity tobacco and at the moment it is sitting at a coffee aroma. So many variables of course but it's a fun thing to note with airtight humidors!
MrDowse Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 They aren't cookies for what it's worth, they are biscuits. They go down great with a mug of tea. Bit of an English obsession. dangolf18 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 You bloody english...you and your crisps, biscuits, and lifts.
Smokntaz Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Wowzers! I wish the contents of my coolers look like yours! Thanks for sharing'
marty922 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 You bloody english...you and your crisps, biscuits, and lifts. I always thought the 'lifts' thing was a bit of a joke.. as in, everyone knows what a lift is. However, when I was in San Fran a few years ago, I asked where the lift was.. all I received was a blank stare, then I remembered.. "where's the elevator?". There's a quote, or remark, by someone whom I can't recall right now that goes something like "The Aussies and Brits think they are world's apart - until an American joins the conversation!"
sw15825 Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 nice cohiba collection!! keep it up!! cheers Thanks, Although I do have alot of Cohibas in there, I also have Bolivar, Cuabas, dips, Upman, Hoyo, Juan Lopez, Monte, Punch, Partagas, PL, Romeo, San cristobal, Trinidad. Only one box in my entire collection of an LE, the Upman mag 48s, I have not found them too interesting as well as others I have tried. I would rather put the money on what I like, and love cohibas flavor profile, but am very careful on what boxes I buy. I have all regular production cigars other than the mag 48. I would like to test the waters of REs and am thinking to pulling the trigger on some Upman RRs and 520s, because of the good reviews.
