I fell asleep so no photos but after dinner the gang went into the hot tub, played pool and did vodka shooters. Of course they smoked cigars, even Garfield's (lonsdaleto) girlfriend Diana.

Breakfast this a.m.

Garfield and the Mrs still sleeping, almost 10am

Now I know why Matthew removed his headgear prior to the picture.

One of the highlights of the weekend was when Garfield's car konked out about 10 minutes south our our house in Feversham, Ontario. The motor still ran so they did not freeze to death, the car would only go backwards not forwards.

CAA towed them to our house and they spent the weekend.

When the cigar smoking etc was over, CAA came back and towed them home to Toronto.

Thank you so much for having Diana and I up at your wonderful country getaway. Both you and Matthew were most excellent hosts. Lisa kept my nicotine buzz going all weekend long. Not even my car troubles could take away from the incredible time we had. Great conversation, great cigars, great food! 5 stars!

Looks like a very cozy place and good to see that everybody up there had a good time.

Next time in the summer and all will make it hopefully!

Not black fly and mosquito season though please. :lookaround: They'll eat me alive. :( Sorry I missed out on this one, but I had to be responsible this past weekend.

Thanks for sharing Lisa, I used to love to ski, one destroyed knee later and I no longer partake. Sleigh rides and cigars in the lodge... now that is a different matter! Cheers! -Piggy

Just heard back from my mechanic. It will cost $2,000 to scavenge and install a replacement transmission. His recommendation was to scrap it. I guess I'm in the market for a new car now.

By "new" what year can that be? I am sure your fellow BOTL's here can be a great resource. Sorry for your loss Garfield. shead.gifsad.png

Great Pics! Now if I can just get this kink out of my neck from looking sideways....

All sorted now.

Looks like a great weekend, except for the car issues.
