time to wave the white flag...

Recommended Posts

nephews gave me one of these modern, cover-all weather stations for christmas. bit of fun. my

outside thermometer just hit 50.9C!!

with a little arrow on the digital dial to say still heading up today. i do have it out in the courtyard so no protection. inside a bit over 30C and steady.

and tomorrow is estimated to be at least 5 degrees hotter than the predicted temp today. official est for today 32C, tomorrow 37C. assume that is indoors?

travelling northern pakistan years ago, we had ten days with the official temp over 48C and the final day hitting 51C. never forgotten it.

white flag time, indeed.

Time for you to get your feet in a bowel of water Ken!

He has hundreds of those on his deck...just needs to shoo the mosquito larvae aside.

i've had to move them. you kept dropping smithy's remote in them.

of course, you could have taken a photo of the clean deck yesterday. whoops, no you couldn't. you lost smithy's camera! does he know?

we hit 52C!! i think that will be enough for today.

A bowel of water....that has to be the typo of 2013 so far!

In all seriousness though, stay safe guys....keep hydrated and protect your cigars from spontaneous combustion!

We are experiencing a heat wave here in Minnesota where the temp has peaked at 0 C. By Sunday things will be back to normal around -16 C. The a/c is off at the moment.
