Dbone Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 My box arrived from Rob, great pick gang, and I've now smoked a couple of these gems. Totally blown away by these cigars. It's been a long time since I've smoked a cigar so good to where I am thinking about it the next day. Toasted pencil wood smoke, with a fruity finish on the lips. Maybe it's placebo, being a new box and all, so I'll give them a few more chances to prove me wrong but otherwise I'm going to spring for a couple more boxes. Others take on this cigar at this time?
Scdalak Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Gee thanks for rubbing it in... I too had a box of these, lets just say they didnt make it...

cigaraholic Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I got a couple of singles to try them, fantastic cigars! Lots of mouth coating honey with a graham cracker finish. I'm not a big robusto fan......and expensive robustos really don't do it for me. Still got a box, the tobacco is to good to pass up.
Scdalak Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Oh I am so happy for eveyone who has enjoyed these, especially you Shlomo...
Scdalak Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Shut up and send me your addy. I'll send you one you whiny baby! LOL, thanks for the offer mate, but why jeopardize more of these babies??!!!!
almudawi Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Last I tried one, I have found them to be will into their sick period. But the tobacco is certainly top notch so I am playing the waiting game for now..
brazoseagle Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I like them alot! Did you ever smoke through your custom rolled sticks?

Very up front and just a joy to smoke. Expensive they are, I usually wont spend that much on a box, but with this quality... there is equal value.
Dbone Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 ROTT they were delicious. Have had two since, with about 6 months on the box if not a tad more and they are just not very good now. Only have a couple left. Will wait a year or more before trying again. I know what you mean, I hate it when that happens to a box. It's good early on... then after a short rest they just never return to their ROTT flavor. But after long enough they come around.
Bartolomeo Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Brought a Czar single w me on vacation in FL to have, love these Bart
Dbone Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 David... sent you a PM. But here a question. This is my first time with Quai D'orsay cigars. Are the Superiores representative of the standard production?

Are the Superiores representative of the standard production? No, I don't think so. The superiores had more flavor in one cigar than all of the other QDO's I've ever smoked combined.

That's a bummer... LOL. Guess even HSA does the ol bait & switch. That being said, I'd still like to travel down it's rabbit hole a little deeper.
Bartolomeo Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Quai is a brand like ERDM that needs age but thats just my two cents.....LGC and Dip as well
Cohiba Stevie Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Cigars if this blend should be ready to smoke out of the box, Thats it! Ive heard enough. Im gettin my hands on these.
Ghabanos Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 No, I don't think so. The superiores had more flavor in one cigar than all of the other QDO's I've ever smoked combined. I concur
