carnivalhobo Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Wanted to get some input on what to get my dad for xmas. He asked me to get him some interesting cigars and scotch. I have some ideas but wanted to make sure I hadn't overlooked something he might really enjoy, so here I am. For reference he smokes Monte #2's regularly. He is a busy guy so he actually seems to enjoy smaller cigars more recently. After sampling a HdM Short Pirimides he bought himself a box and seems to be enjoying those. In the past I've put together samplers for him and he does enjoy BHK 52, CORO, but doesnt seem to share any of my enjoyment for the long skinnies. So, I think something in the 48+rg and less than 6" category would be best. I can always just grab a box of BHK 52s which i still may do. But i was hoping to get him something he hasn't had. Thanks in advance for any help!
Sutton Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 SLR pacifico. Or make him a No2 sampler or maybe some LE monte 2010 or 2012
Troels Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Punch RE germany Sir John is a short 48. Cuaba EL 2008 is still to be had in germany. I'm no expert, but that's what I could think of
CaptainQuintero Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 How about the Monte Edmundo jar? Seems to fit in with what he likes and your requirements and it's a fancy packaging for a special gift.
Croz71 Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 What about Monte Grand Edmundo LE 2010? If he likes montecristo, these are fantastic.
charlesod Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Ramon Allones Extra has been my favorite release this year. Great size, great smoke.
nikesupremedunk Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I would say Monte Petit Edmundo is the perfect gift for him according to what you wrote. Bigger ring gauge, it's a monte, and it's short.

canadianbeaver Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Just to get you in the Christmas mood, my daughter and her boyfriend made this guy on our back deck yesterday up here, about 1.5 hours north of Toronto. (weird that it is sideways!)

(weird that it is sideways!) OMG - thick snow already. Are your parts now snow covered until spring? Canada really is cold
