al321 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I'm not usually one to hype a product, but I saw Rushman's comment in another thread about using his iPad for music and couldn't resist. Last year I was looking for a small portable speaker system for my iPhone and ended up buying a Jambox. The device is about 6"x2.5"X1.5" and you won't believe the sound it produces. There is an option of using a bluetooth connection or a microphone connection. I use bluetooth, usually pandora, and the battery lasts 6-8 hours on a charge. Amazing little amp/speaker system that you can take anywhere you go - the beach, camping, fishing, the golf course... Normal routine is to head out back after I read books to my son, crank up Joe Bonamassa on the Jambox and have a tasty stick with a glass of rum. Tonight it will be Dr. Seuss followed by a Boli GM and some Zacapa 23...life doesn't get any better!
Ophidion Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I got the big jambox and its awesome. I originally bought the small one but the big one was necessary
bdp Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I've got a Logitech mini boombox. I'm an audiobook guy mainly, and the bass from this little thing is awesome. Jawbone is a premium product at a premium price, but for loud music it's the one you want. I like the logitech, a lot. The price was right, and I don't use it enough (or loud enough) to have wanted to spend more. I like the touch controls on the top and the internal battery. Aux input on the back and usb 'mini-B' power charging. Not sure about these aspects of the Jambox, but the gadget geek in me envies you.
ramon_cojones Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I've got an audio technica powered speaker (not bluetooth though) and connects to my iphone and sounds awesome for the 40 bux I paid? here's a pic
ZinZan Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I'm using soundkick from SoundFreaq, pretty darn good for its size.

Rushman Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I've got some small tube style speakers that unfortunately require USB power, but they are good for parties in our playa del Carmen casa cuz its not too big. Need something more portable and will look up jambox while back in the states soon. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631738,-87.070669
Lotusguy Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Had one since day one - fricking awesome and well worth the money!! Doesn't hurt that they are one of my customers and they are a really cool and nice bunch of people from engineering all the way through to purchasing and including their CEO.
Rushman Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Now that I look at the link and realize its a jawbone product I'm in. I like their products. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631748,-87.070636
kyee Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I've also had the original Jambox since day 1, and bought the Big Jambox when that one came out too. Great sound for it's small size.
CanuckSARTech Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I've heard good things about these. I have a JBL OnTour, and I absolutely love it - I'm very impartial to JBL / Harmon Kardon stuff (I find the sound performance for the price paid is about the best around, IMO). But these seem like a wicked little speaker too.
rollout Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Another happy Sidekick Soundfreaq user. Listening now while smoking a Casa Fuente Corona Gorda. Bill
