I was just reading the blog of a UK retailer and came across this:

"First thing I noticed was that the size was wrong as the ring gauge is supposed to be a 48 but all the boxes we have opened so far (quite a few) are 50 ring gauge cigars – Marvellous."

Any comment avaiable on this Rob from what you've seen?

That would make them the same size as the Serie D Especiale - the EL from 2010. Hmmmm...maybe a repackaging?

Just been through and measured a couple of sticks from different boxes and the Partagas are 48 ring gauge.

You guys smoked these Partagas and the Upmann LE's ?

How is the master case of them looking?

I have one of those Habanos ring gauge thingies. I'll run it through tonight.

Where would a fellow be able to pick up one of them Habanos ring guage thingies?

Ring gauge is in 64ths of an inch. One can use a caliper and convert to the nearest. Habanos are ofter fatter than published ring gauge especially if damp. While I am into precision... and picking on Tabacuba, these are cigars, not precision bearings and 1/64th is pretty damn small!!! 16/1000 of an inch.

Get the new book from Habanos. The World of the Habanos. Comes with a DVD and ringe gauge thingy. :)

Is there an LCDH in Sask?

I like it. Measure RG with an electronic caliper and convert from there.

Do you also use a drill press as a punch tool for your cigars? Now that I'd like to see.
