I am not one to normally write reviews, but, I thought some of you might be interested in a few notes. For me, I either love a cigar, like it, or it was just OK. I don't tend to spend my cigar time trying to pick out all of the different flavors, but, if something becomes noticeable then I write it down.

Cohiba_PE.jpg

* The cigar is quite large--bigger than most #2s--and looks absolutely beautiful.

* The taste was really quite average and reminded me of the far too many ho-hum cohiba robustos that I've smoked. A bit of nuts, coffee, toffee, and tobacco. Quite a lot of the Cohiba grassiness.

* I live in Australia so the price of these is way too much anyways, but, it was in line with what BHKs and Esplendidos sell for here.

Bottom line: I'm glad that I tried one, but, at this price there are way too many other cigars that I would rather smoke.

Disclaimers:

* I am not a Cohiba snob. The majority of my Cohiba experience is with several boxes of mediocre robustos, several boxes of much better lanceros, several 15 packs of Siglo VI tubes, and a handful of Siglo I and II singles.

* With the exception of H. Upmann #2's, I really am not a big fan of the piramide.

* I hadn't smoked a cigar in a little more than 2 weeks before smoking this one.

Thanks for the review. Thats what I was thinking about them, too. I've smoked about 5 or 6 now and I am not impressed. I'd much rather have a lancero, VI, behike or genios of the Cohiba lines. Way too overpriced. You can buy a full 25 box or more of a much better cuban cigar than you can with a mere 10 pack of these average ones..

sad that they create expesinve but not impressive cigars like this (I have not tasted but judging by the comments above), and discontinuing top **** like the Punch RS11,12, diplo range......
