Rushman Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I look forward to his write ups. Great stuff. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.630140,-87.069867
Strada Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 This is, in a old fashion way, history conservation, via word to mouth. I can tell you I will tell that amazing story about Fonseca and Hamlet to whoever cares to hear it. Mr. Punch Joe Thank You
NJP Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Great read thank you again. And Hamlets birth home just magic.
dicko Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I look forward to his write ups. Great stuff. Agreed, always love when I see these pop up on the forum.
El Presidente Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 Great read thank you again. And Hamlets birth home just magic. True...the goobers birthplace was his destiny
mazolaman Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Me three, I always enjoy Joe's writings. And I still love a Fonseca no 1.
Ryan Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Great story. So, when he took on the name, Hamlet had no idea that he was born in the building where Hamet cigars were rolled? Thanks again for the write up Joe, Seeing pictures of Havana again is getting me restless..
cottierm Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Beautiful piece of writing as usual. Thanks Joe. Best, Michel
Nino Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Excellent and interesting information - keep it coming muchas gracias Jose Antonio !! PS : Just thinking, why not organize/collect all of this valuable information by Punch Joe in a separate "history folder" to preserve it ?
Puros Y Vino Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 PS : Just thinking, why not organize/collect all of this valuable information by Punch Joe in a separate "history folder" to preserve it ? X2. Great idea.
cottierm Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 + 3 (but I've already asked for that in the past). PS : Just thinking, why not organize/collect all of this valuable information by Punch Joe in a separate "history folder" to preserve it ?
Jnaube Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Great lecture man! Love the pictures... And the subject of course. Thank you.
CanuckSARTech Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Very, very cool. Funny, the irony around Hamlet's birthplace. And yes, +1 on the idea by Nino, about a "Cuban Cigar History" sort of sub-forum.
AlohaStyle Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 PS : Just thinking, why not organize/collect all of this valuable information by Punch Joe in a separate "history folder" to preserve it ? Good idea but your buddy Rob already beat ya to it... click on the main forum category listing and scroll down to Classic Posts. There are a lot of Punch Joe threads and some other ones Rob thought were "classics." It's just too bad that the older ones have the pictures missing... Classic Posts I actually just read through them all last night doing some research on Havana... Jose has some great info and I hope to say thanks in person next month for taking the time to share. And wow, what irony about Hamlet growing up there... never even knew there were Hamlet cigars, besides what he rolls of course.
