Torpo
Hi Everyone, I'm sure some of you guy's will have an answer for me. A friend brought a couple of boxes of cigars to show me. First off these are 2012 production and they do not have the "warrantee sticker" with two red letters and the six numbers. Are any boxes from this date shipped without this sticker? Then there is the bar code that is torn off. They are almost too perfect in construction, three caps, tubo insert is cedar but not sure if it's Spanish cedar, heavy barnyard cold aroma. They are from a Swiss vendor. PM me if you want more info on the vendor. Thanks.
canadianbeaver
The ripped off portion happens in "grey market" cigars, ones not sold out of LCDH dealers. I do not know which warranty sticker you refer to but the hologram and date code look kosher to me.

Are any boxes from this date shipped without this sticker? The warranty seal with the red numbers "officially" finished in 2009 when the new seal was introduced, but there is a two year window when both seals were used, often both seals together. Torpo
The 09-11 two year period could have both stickers. The 2012 would have just the new sticker. I figured they were "gray" at minimun. Thanks. Any other comments.

Ophidion
They look totally fine and anything out of OGA (in terms of bolivars) have been smoking really well recently.
cigcars
Counterfeiters rarely go to the trouble to fake the tubos. Too costly & too much trouble. The whole name of their game is crap to total crap sold fast and for what they can take you for.
Jnaube
They look fine to me. Hologram looks sharp even if some were able to reproduce it. Also, as written above, I've never seen fake tubos.

My understanding of grey market it refers not to the retailer (whether LCDH or other) but to cigars that are sold into a region from a distributor from another region, ie cigars from the carribean distributor into Mexico. Just to clarify. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.630094,-87.069729
