If I get a plugged draw on a cigar before I light her up, I will typically dry box the cigar for a few days, and try it again. In most instances it helps. It's not always a marked improvement, but it definitely makes a big enough difference to help the draw ease up.

Thin ring smoker here. Hardly ever get plugged cigars. I store them dry and work hard at smoking a cigar with a stiff draw. What I consider a stiff draw, is likely plugged to many larger ring, NC converts.

I may have encountered 1 plugged cigar last year. I found the knot, cut it out and smoked the rest of the cigar. I was rewarded for the trouble it took.

A good cigar is worth a little effort. A garbage cigar, especially those that draw like straws are easily disposed of by me however. -:pig:

I usually have 2 to 3 per box, but have a box of RG Lonsdales from 2001 that I have smoked 10 of them and only 1 smoked great.

1-2 per box max in my experience also. By plugged, I mean basically unsmokable.

Though I'm working through a Cab of Boli PC that hasn't been very cooperative. Per-Czar purchase, for what it's worth.

My plug rate recently: too bloody many. Have been especially dissapointed recently with some Upmann Sir Winnies from a 2010 box and RA Estupendos.

The last plugged cigar I had as a Dip 4, but once it warms up they kind of loosen up. Besides that I've not had a plug in a LONG time.

Worse than a plug are the under-filled cigars, which are plentiful. They burn too hot and it's hard to get much flavor out of them.

Non cuban cigars get plugs. I have worked in a cigar store in the states for years and I have tossed my fair share of noncubans for plugged, but more for nasty flavor :). I would estimate approximately 2-3 per box for Cubans.
