This is completely irrelevant to your question, but there is an NC that is not like the tradition manner of NC type "box press."

Henry Clay. They're great. Try them. They just shove in as many things they can into a box and nail it shut.

On another note, I smoked a Choix tonight that looked like the Drew Estates Wafer cigar. just a gd pancake. It was good though.

The only true box pressed cigars we have in our humidor right now are Padrons. You could stack those things like Lego. The others are more like just crowded sticks IMO.

Recent box (Oct 11) of Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills I have is box pressed. They're delicious too.

Mine too, though not that young (Jun 11). Glad to hear it.

I find that most pressed habanos "plump up" once they heat up a bit.

On a side note, I think it might be worth keeping in mind that many pressed NCs are intentionally pressed prior to boxing, while Cuban cigars

end up pressed as a result of boxing (in dress boxes), hence "box press".

I prefer my cigars in the round.....

For what it's worth, Cigar Aficionado distinguishes between the box-pressed cigars (what alot of CCs are when packaged in a dress box, leading to the term "cuban-pressed") and factory-pressed cigars, those intentionally pressed prior to packaging.

I just opened a box of Party Shorts and the are quite box pressed...although the one i'm smoking now is rounding out as we go along..

Not to be rude, but, I've never factored "box pressed" cigars into the equation of overall enjoyment. I see it as a result of packaging.

Same experience here :)

The BRCs & party shorts are just great, though square
