Nino Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 Ok, the bad news and the good news : Bad news is that Andreas, the pharmacist, dreamed this trip up for April Fools Day.... The good news : more people contacted us than I'd have thought .... considering opening up a travel agency on the side now that I've retired .... just kidding .....
Smallclub Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Ah ah, excellent! I knew it was a poisson d'Avril as soon as I read "on-board smoking permitted"…

tmac77 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Is it funnier in German? nothing is funnier in german
Habanos2000 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 You had me fooled. I was wondering how a plane could ventilate all that cigar smoke! But that sure sounds like a dream trip!!
Nino Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Is it funnier in German? No, simply more ... precise.
Nino Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 You had me fooled. I was wondering how a plane could ventilate all that cigar smoke! But that sure sounds like a dream trip!! Well, it's possible and quite common in private aviation, you pay, you get. Same in commercial aviation - smoking flights can be chartered/brokered, no problem, customer gets what he wants. Ventilation is the least of a problem ... Just 2 years back some friends of mine flew private jet to HAV & back to Europe and smoked on-board. And I still remember when I was on DC-10 in the mid 70's, there were Lufthansa "Senator" cigars offered in First Class after lunch/dinner and ... smoked on board. It was only in mid-late 80's that passengers were asked to please smoke them at home ( but smoking was still allowed on-board, they were merely & politely asked ... Good ol' times - sex was safe and flying was dangerous ... nowadays ....
