Smacky Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Greetings All, Introduced by a colleague, I have recently experienced the joys of cigar smoking and the culture that comes with it. Unfortunately my first cigar was a Cohiba Behike, so I fear that the bar has been set high as far as future expectations are concerned! Being a person who likes to really get into and research the hobbies I undertake led me to this site. Already I have found a ton of good information and look forward to learning more about yet another expensive vice! So far I have been well looked after by the local cigar shop here in Sydney but once I start establishing particular favourite cigars I'm excited about the prospect of purchasing some boxes and stocking my newly purchased humidor. I don't pretend to have the worlds best sense of taste or smell, but so far I have particularly enjoyed the Montecristo Edmundo so if anyone has any suggestions on similar cigars I may like, please feel free to send them my way! Regards, Smacky
chr0nic Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Awesome stuff, Smacky. Welcome from a fellow newbie aficionado from Sydney. Where in Sydney you from? I live around the Castle Hill way at the moment... I had the exact same problem- my first smokes were Cohiba Siglos which also set a high standard. Have you joined "C.*.N.T.A" yet? EDIT: For modesty
Smacky Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Yes - I did sign up to the underground network! Living in Hunters Hill, working in town.

khamy Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Yes welcome mate, Sydney's cigar scene is starting to pickup a notch over the next few months, so its a great time to start the journey
Smacky Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 Thanks for the Welcome's! And thanks for the tip on the PSD4. Tried one last night. Wasn't too sure to begin with but it certainly got better. Struggled a bit to get it to burn evenly but by the end it was all good. Cheers, Smacky
