Cool, but way too exspensive. I love my Le Cache 285 bottle cellar for a tenth of the cost...But I guess if you have the dough, would be cool..

i have a feeling that len evans (for those not familiar, one of the greatest experts on wine of all time) had one.

it went down to his normal cellar. great idea for those crsamped on space - but only if proper temperature control.

Love the shelve cellar!!

The spiral cellar ones are great and not that ridiculous (when you break it down per bottle and consider it adds value to house) in £ - about £15k-25 depending on what gadgets you want (retinal scan, see through top etc etc)

I've seen several people (customers of mine) with them

I agree. I'm cramped for space but I'd doubt the wife would sanction a 2 metre hole being dug into the basement. :(

Awesome. Wonder if they have anyone who does this in the U.S.?

I'll give them credit for thinking outside te box but that seems utterly rediculous. Last thing I want in my floor is a big ass hole. I'm way too forgetful and ADD. I'd end up at the bottom of that thing with a broken neck within a week.

Interesting concept, but I'd prefer one the rises up out of the hole. :daydream: Though it would be a problem if the power went out!
