Bartolomeo Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Quai has become a favorite in past 6 months for me Predraw was plain Wrapper is fuzzy, little fingers of carboard projections it looks like Initial puff is light, sweet wood, white pepper Simple, Young tobacco taste, nothing too complex in first third Very smooth in 2/3, continuing w sweet buttery flavor w continued pepper Ash is sort of flakey Mild-Medium profile throughout Finished w/ lots of flavor but also some youth Overall I enjoyed it but think they need some time Bart
CanuckSARTech Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Bart, I was just thinking about these the other day. Do you think these are worth investing in a box of? I mean, they're pricier than CoRo's even, but I wouldn't mind paying that at all if I knew they had the potential to outshine.

I think these have legs for the future but I also think there are better RE/LE boxes to buy now such as RA Extra LE or PL Regalias RE......both significantly cheaper than these I am a big fan of Quai and was glad to get to try these, if I was rich I would buy a box but again there are other regular production and RE/LE I would buy before Just my .02 Bart
CanuckSARTech Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Thanks Bart, appreciate it. I'll stay with the status quo then - additional boxes of RA Extra 2011, a box of PL Encantos, and then maybe a box of these added on as the budget will allow.

An enjoyable but youthful cigar. Could be great in a couple of years.
newyorkcity Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I had a few sticks of these recently and feel they have great potential. I can almost taste those honey sweet notes in a year or two!
Dbone Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Nice review Bart. I have a box in the locker, probably better they stay for the time being. Don't have any room for them anyway LOL I'm excited to see how they will develop with a good 5 years plus on them. Funny same goes for the PL Encantos pacific release. Big hopes for both down the road.
