rusty Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Have had a a couple of these and been pleasantly surprised . The draw may be little loose but they pack some punch These will be a good winter smoke
Blackham Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 just smoked one, around a 30-minute smoke for me first 4-5 puffs, like a pistol shooting out cannons, lots of nicotine kick, black pepper, black coffee, smokiness from a scotch. getting smoother in the next 10 minutes, able to retrohale now. dark coffee still dominates the flavor, like a shot of Cuban espresso. A little bit of citrus and earthiness emerges - Partagas-kind-of-earthiness with slight hint of pineapple. Finishes with the standard Upmann profile - herbal, marshmallow, buttery. Construction is good, even burn, good draw. No nasty taste when nubbing. I don't like it, the first few puffs are way too strong like a Padron. Too much black pepper and coffee bitterness in the beginning as well. Nevertheless it is a well made cigar (and good value) and I will revisit it few months later
ramon_cojones Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Most LCDHs and big shops in Europe are out of stock; some of them even didn't get any. Don't expect to find this cigar at one of the well-known discounters. No wonder, I checked LCDH too thanks. Rob you should get these, would love to have the tin too.
mkirk76 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 That tin is pretty cool. Think I need to find me some of these!
melies Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Had about 5 of the and went to buy a box, great little buggers now I'm repenting not buying a second box
