headstand Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Tough call on favorite: sitting in first place when on (or the very last spot if not) is the Monte # 2. I've had the entire spectrum from a Mar 2010 box I'm almost through. H.Upmann # 2 would be the clear winner for me if consistency was given greater weight in my scoring. Then come the Unico and PSP2, with Dip2 sitting in last spot (unless another off Monte#2 shows up to the party).

But, they can be total turds if you don't get the right one. With these, you really do need darkness and oilyness and a strong nose-scent at cold to have a nice one, IMO.

I've got a 10-box of PSP2's resting as well as a trio of Unicos, also resting, and about 14 Monte 2's ready to go. That might be my smoke of choice tonight for the New Years. 6 Adults hammered on tequila, a hot tub and all night to play. This is gonna be a good one...

Any years I should stay away from? Don't mind putting a box or 2 away for aging if best years are recent production.

BlackIrish Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 PSP2 (tubo) has been the best so far for me. I've enjoyed Dip#2s, but have preferred the fuller flavor of the PSP2. I've smoked Monte2s but haven't had great luck with them. I need to try some HU#2 and VR Unicos.
