Orion21 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Today is my little boy's 1st birthday. He has changed my and my wife's life for the better every second since he took his first breath. There is nothing better in the world than the overwhelming feeling that your heart is going to explode because you love someone so much. I am truly the luckiest man on the face of the earth and thank the good Lord everyday for blessing me with such a perfect little person. I mostly remember thinking how beautiful he was and could not believe how enormous the little bugger looked. He was 8lbs 8 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. I look forward to sharing a 20+ year old BHK 52 with him when he comes of age. Cheers to all of the other fathers out there and feel free to share thoughts about the day your first born arrived.

My youngest turned 17 just yesterday, and several months ago I watched with tears in my eyes as my oldest boy boarded a plane for the west coast to persue his masters degree, on scholarship no less. Tears of pride and sadness mixed. As fathers there are few things in life that compare with the strength of emotions we have for our children. Good on you for taking the time to show your pride.

We've talked about fatherhood before and you summed it up perfectly in saying the birth of your first child changes your life forever and for the better. I'll never forget the first few seconds after my guy was delivered. He was like this mini little man and was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. He's only 4 months old now and I cherish every night I come home to him because I know the days, weeks, and years will fly by before I know it. Tell your little guy a BIG Happy Birthday from all of us and let us know if you smoke anything special to celebrate. Cheers.

I'm goign full bore on the nursery this weekend. Imagine in 20 or so years we all get together for a fumada...with our boys in tow?!?! Cheers to that!!

CanuckSARTech Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Congrats and kudos. Having a son is a special blessing, and well worth it all. My son, Mason ("Mini-Me") is now 3 1/2 years old. He was a long one when born (22"), and weighed in at 7 lbs 7 oz. Can't wait until the day we can go out hunting or fishing together, and share a cigar (after his 18th birthday, of course!).

I have a daughter, but who knows maybe I'll share one of those R&J skinnies Habanos made in mind for the ladies..NOT! If I have any say she'll be a Lancero lady. Now only to convince my wife
