Phillycyclocross Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Same story. Got these from a friend whose dad returned from Switzerland. I do trust his dad's judgement though so I'm leaning towards being legit based off that and the construction. But I know little to nothing about real Cubans as I've yet to buy any on my own. Would like to here what you all think.
Phillycyclocross Posted November 5, 2011 Author Posted November 5, 2011 Sorry about the sub par pics. I can try taking some with an actual camera if that helps.
riazp Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 looks fine, the only way to find out, smoke it, enjoy it, dont worry about it
rckymtn22 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 The Tubes are highley suspect as they do not match what is on Trevor's site. That style of tube does not have the white colours but you never know the Cubans might have had the old style tubes done up in the new colours.
Tarks Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 They look good to me. The tubes look fine IMO. The white tubes have been available for certain vitolas for a while. Enjoy the cigar!
Lotusguy Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I can't tell what cigars these are but my Epi 1 tubos have the slide-on style cap while my Coronations tubos have the screw-on style cap. Both are the newer, white tubes. Hope this helps!
Phillycyclocross Posted November 5, 2011 Author Posted November 5, 2011 Thanks guys. I'm going with real. Everything looks perfect to me. Can't wait to enjoy it. Lotusguy, it's a Coronation. Screw on cap.
randomhero1090 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I didn't know the "de" was that offset from the rest of the font. Band looks good, wrapper looks good. I'd say its a GO.
Schumi5 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Nice triple cap, solid wrapper. Based on what I can see, looks good. As others have said, light it up and enjoy!

Phillycyclocross Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 Thanks all. I have it aging for awhile as my friend let it dry out. I'll bring it back to life over the winter and smoke it during my trip to Miami in Feb. Thanks again
