nubchin Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 A Party SdC#3 with an album I bought yesterday. Such a nice song and video, plus very soulful guitar playing. What a religious clip! The Sumidero valley is a place to visit. Talking about beautiful woman, this one has more than beauty to accompany a lazy new year start. Happy New Year to you all cigar/music geeks !

mazolaman Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Loved that Roy Montgomery, excellent. This was released a while ago, pretty damning comment on our scummy press. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kRnA8BLrCg
dB69 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Thanks for those nice clips, gentlemen! Been having a terrible sniffle since tuesday morning and have not been able to smoke any cigars. But if I could, I'd listen to this album with a tasty long'n'skinny.
bigfunkyg Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Had a moment in Cuba in early December that I thought I would share. One of those moments of serenity in life where everything seems to stop and everything seems so clear for a moment. I sat down for my afternoon cigar at about 3:00. It was a beautiful warm day and the cigar for the afternoon was the Ramon Allones Allones Extra 2011 LE, paired with several mojito's. My smoking buddy was down with a stomach virus so I was smoking solo so I brought the iphone as my entertainment. Here was the view: Here is what I was listening to. I'm a big fan of Jesse Cook and have seen him live twice. He puts on an amazing live show. I guess it was one of those moments where everything comes together, the cigar, the view, the drink, the music. The cigar was fantastic, the scenery was awesome, the drinks paired well, and the music just kind of rounded the whole thing out. Thanks for reading! G
coblos Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Many may have seen this since it already went viral. If you haven't it is quite impressive. 2 Croatian cello players doing a cover of Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjOQac1vOEc
mazolaman Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Some cool Cali pop, and interesting fungi... And some great folk pop, real class
mk05 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Just because they haven't been mentioned yet. Today I listened to Feist and Birdy.
CanuckSARTech Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Its been a long time since this thread has been updated, and there's one tune that's been burning through my brain for the last little while..... This shows how much the British colonies are alike - Canada, Australia, and even, yes Ken, New Zealand. All have connections with this tune - Gotye feat. Kimbra, from Australia and New Zealand respectively. And then, a wonderful cover rendition by a Canadian group, Walk Off The Earth.... Reminds me of old time college heartbreak....
dB69 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 This album is totally awesome! And a delicious Diplo#4 doubles the pleasure.
mazolaman Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Nice one DB, that is a cool album. I also liked their previous incarnation, and recall watching this on Later, when there was lots of easy going stuff on, and then these guys did this....
jazzbass Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Top clip is the perfect song to hear first thing in the morning.. Thanks !

Great song and great cover. I rarely agree with the JJJ hottest 100 song of the year, but did agree with this one and knew it would be No.1 the very first time I heard it.

WOW! Straight to my shopping-list. Never heard even the name of the band but it sounds a bit like my own band some fifteen years ago, the vocals were a bit more melodic though.
