His hitting coach has to tell him that's enough for the day, he would hit till his arms fell off, he loves it. I think he likes the attention he gets because coaches from other teams come watch him if they hear that Nikolaus is taking practice. This season Nikolaus played in a Federal League. He played up to the next age division and was the youngest on the team at 8, most of the other boys were 10. I was surprised when the batting stats were handed out at the last game, Nikolaus led his team with a .489 avg. 19 walks, 11 strikeouts and an OBP of almost .800. Plus he was the starting catcher. He must get his talent from his mother because when I was a kid I couldn't hit a beach ball if you threw it at me. My wife received a full ride to Arizona State for fast pitch.
