fishing in the deepdale

Recommended Posts

if this doesn’t make you want to toss a fly some time soon, don’t know what will.

apparently about 8 1/2 lbs. this is on the deepdale which is a really tough but fabulous river. a legendary big fish river.

sent to me by a mate but apparently taken by the son of one of the guides i use.

to give you an idea how clear the water is, the rocks are about ten foot deep.

That is nice makes me want to learn how to fly fish. The only time I have seen water that clear was in the Swiss alps when the snow was melting.

it can be a real problem. you got to step on a rock and suddenly find yourself nipple-deep in seriously cold water.

i recall as a kid being up the barrier reef, out on the edge. 60 foot looked like a pane of glass. it was the proverbial gin clear. amazing.
