asmith Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 One of the our old favourites, but is the latest production as good as in the past?
ramon_cojones Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Man I love these reviews. Rob we're doing one when you're in town.
BradNC Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 I'd love watching the unedited version. I watch these when I smoke whatever cigar they are reviewing. Makes me feel like I'm there. Unedited it would be even better but that is just my humble opinion.
El Presidente Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I'd love watching the unedited version. I watch these when I smoke whatever cigar they are reviewing. Makes me feel like I'm there. Unedited it would be even better but that is just my humble opinion. We would need a full time FOH legal team to handle the law suits
aes8 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I know you guys have recipricol seasons to us in NA but for the life of me from watching this video I can't tell if you have 10 feet of snow (Ken), are getting ready to carve a pumpkin (Warren), or ready for a day at the beach (Rob). Well maybe not the beach but you get the idea.
aes8 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Man I love these reviews.Rob we're doing one when you're in town. V, We can bring him to the Hippo and have a live remote reivew
El Presidente Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Rob: "ken what do you like most about this cigar" Ken: "It's Free" When you want indepth cigar analysis......FOH is your channel
Colt45 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Thanks guys. I'm a fan and agree that it is one of the top two churchills made. Still working on '00s, with an '03 box in waiting behind that. Happy to hear that recent vintages are up to snuff.
BradNC Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 We would need a full time FOH legal team to handle the law suits Ken could mount the defense.
El Presidente Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Ken could mount the defense. In that case I would take the early plea....
cgarner Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 By far my favorite cigar. So much so I named by lab after them.
aavkk Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I'd love watching the unedited version. I watch these when I smoke whatever cigar they are reviewing. Makes me feel like I'm there. Unedited it would be even better but that is just my humble opinion. I lived the unedited version! It would definitely make Smithy's life a hell of a lot easier thats for sure. Smithy you are a true genius behind the scenes, I still dont know how you condense it all down. These videos are a real hallmark of the forum and I was truly honored to be a part of it- I hope to be back sooner than later. Rob, are you coming to NYC in Sep? I am here in NY instead of SC as I originally planned.
ramon_cojones Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 V,We can bring him to the Hippo and have a live remote reivew LOL I'm still trying to figure out what that is. PM me your mobile A, I got a lunch date in santa monica so I'm trying to orchestrate everything (i just wanted to use that for no good reason lol). Props to smithy who is a genius.
gigabyte056 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Great review of a classic,Smithy you are an editing genius but where is the dancing bear (probably holding it as evidence) . By far better than that RyJ Churchill, I have a box from 03 that I am about to finish, apart from one they were all top notch. I have two other boxes , both from 05 that I only sampled once and they seem to be on their game as well.
ramon_cojones Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Please someone tell me these are more complex/have more body than hu 2s. Still haven't tried them.
Disburden Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Great Review, Ken looks like he's ready to swoosh down the mountain side with a smoke in his mouth. The Sir Winston is something I've been meaning to try for a while, I'll have to save up!
Ken Gargett Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 We would need a full time FOH legal team to handle the law suits and half of them would be suing each other! yes, unedited? three or four hours of drunks on a balcony. still, that would probably outrate sbs. as for the gear, i have the coldest house in brizzy and it was a very cold day. rob just drinks so much he feels no pain. to be honest, most weeks he is there is a bit like a cuban version of 'weekend at bernie's' anyway.
dicko Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 haha i like the titles you gave the guys smithy hobo chic
Dbone Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 A leaf blower for the deck, now that makes for a quick clean up. Enjoyed the review gents.
El Presidente Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 A leaf blower for the deck, now that makes for a quick clean up. Enjoyed the review gents. The leaf blower is Kens pride and joy to the point that If I even move in its general direction he flies into a fit. Tom Hanks had Wilson in Castaway....Ken has "Blow" in real life

Tom Hanks had Wilson in Castaway....Ken has "Blow" in real life Now that is funny!!!! I can imagine Ken stranded on a desserted island with only a leaf blower and Petit Coronas....Jose La Piedra...lol

I am here in NY instead of SC as I originally planned. If Rob is in NY, I hope that another gathering can be put together like was done when Lisa came to visit. Besides meeting some great people, it was also informative for a novice to CC's like myself.
rfenst Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 We would need a full time FOH legal team to handle the law suits I will work for cigars...
Ken Gargett Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Now that is funny!!!! I can imagine Ken stranded on a desserted island with only a leaf blower and Petit Coronas....Jose La Piedra...lol two words, ayala, "yogi bear". it doesn't come sicker than that. and that would be an island for the end of a meal, then?
