SmokinLightning Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Very cool! Thank you for sharing it with us! Partagas Lancero??! I want!
thechenman Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Thank Punch Joe and thank Prez for posting these. Those may very well be the most impressive CC pictures I have ever seen. What history...truly amazing.
scottkenda Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 That is sooo cool. I've also had a similiar experience to yours, but mine pales in comparison. I was in a persons basement doing some work, and I noticed a Partagas sampler humidor from the pre-embargo days. It was in almost perfect condition, and the person had no idea what he had, but no matter how I asked, he wasn't interested in selling it. The other time I came across a unopened pre-embargo box of Por Larranaga Nacionales, CCC, at an antique store. The box was originally purchased at the Por Larranaga factory in 1956. This I was able to buy for $40, and they are in excellent shape. Thanks for sharing these storys, and photos with us, it's reminds me how wonderful cigars are. Like I would ever forget.
sig 111 Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 made me touch myself. what a beautiful thing.thanks for sharing.
qman22 Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Thank you for sharing those breathtaking photos. That must have been quite an era to be a cigar smoker
Jason Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Great and unique contribution to the interwebs knowledge base there. Never seen such a thing. Huge thanks for sharing
seamus Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Truly amazing. Thank you for posting. Crazy to think that someone may have felt this was just something they were made to lug around to sales calls.
Mistakl Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Thank you so much for sharing the story and wonderful pictures.
