First Lady Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 I pray that our friends are safe in the areas that were hit with those devastating storms yesterday If any members have family or friends from that areas I hope they are safe Our thoughts are with you guys Lisa
Mr.T Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Thank you for your concern Lisa. I live in north Minneapolis where our tornado hit. We're a couple blocks away from the path the tornado took. A lot of the streets around us are no longer recognizable. Tornado struck the poorest part of the city so they are a lot of people hurting and out on the streets. I never thought I would see the day when a Tornado would tear through an inner city urban area. My thoughts go out to anyone living or with family and friends in southern Missouri. Be safe!
stogieokie Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 We're keeping an eye on another round that's supposed to fire up tonight . . . just one of the joys of living in this part of the world.
fbiguy Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Thanks for the well wishes everyone. We dodged 3 rounds of nasty storms last night here in the Metroplex. One reported tornado passed very close to us in Bedford, but it didn't get bad until it had passed to the east. Hope everyone east of Texas is spared as much as we were. Cheers, Kevin
First Lady Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 Every night we see the updates and the force of these storms and all I can think is I hope my boys are safe and their families
stogieokie Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 We're o.k. here, but yet again some not far around us weren't so lucky . . .
MoneyPit Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Batten down the hatches.... Here we go again. Hope everyone to the west of TN/KY is okay from this afternoon's storms. It sure is getting windy outside
Maron76 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 We were very lucky and missed all the Tornados. But we did get 4-5 inches of rain today alone. I have never seen my rain gauge overflow! Even when the lawn sprinklers hit it.
