Ok you may know im relatively new here to the boards...

And very green when it comes to cigars and collecting them lol

Im a huge fan of my cohibas and bolivars aswell as the odd upmann here and there. The thing is im going to dublin for the weekend and want to buy a cigar from a brand ive never had before.

Through my own research ive come to know partagas is one of the most respected brands in the game.

So can i ask for a few rough suggestions as what cigar to buy as my first partagas?

Something to follow a nice irish steak and to smoke with a pint of guiness lol, im not worried about the cost.

Any of the Serie du Conniseur if you can find them. Partagas 898V and Lusitania for longer smokes. Partagas shorts for the quick smoke. Those are my favorites of the regular line.

Partagas is probably the best of all...love'em. Here is the list: Lusitania (for 2 hours of love), 898's (never wrong, very strong, great with steak and brandy), then SD#4 (a beauty anytime!). Can't go wrong with any of these suggestions. Hope that helps, now get smoking.

Yup, 898V or SDN4. Both nice, depending on the format you have a hankering for (short & fat, or long & skinny).

I'll add a vote for Lusitanias and Shorts, two ends of the size spectrum and cigars I would consider desert island smokes.

I too am a huge Partagas fan. Along with the great suggestions offered here, may I suggest you purchase the Partagas Jar release in 2010 which includes 25 Partagas P1s. The P1 is a limited release and IMHO an exceptional cigar. My normal Partagas favorites though are the 989V, Lusitania and the Shorts.
