Bolivar - Coronas Junior

I'm new to cigars and looking at getting some smaller smokes for when time is short. I currently only have robustos.

I quite like Bolivar Royal Coronas and have some of those heading in my direction soon, so I was wondering what peoples' experiences with the Coronas Junior have been like.

I'm also looking at the Partagas shorts - they seem to be pretty popular here.

damn fine smoke. not as spicy as shorts but still a nice level of spice, and also good creamy and sweet earth flavour

I find them a very good representation of the marque - much more so than I find the royal coronas, which are one of my least favorite of the line.

Different smokes for different folks!

For a small format Bolivar, I always reach for the Petit Corona. I have found CJ's to always have a great Bolivar flavor but have a tendency to be rolled a little too tight for my liking. If you are stuck on Tres Petit Corona size, I personally would reach for Partagas Shorts, Siglo I, RASCC and Trinidad Reyes before the BCJ.

The BCJ is a solid Bolivar. Never had a tight one, never seen (and even heard of) a bad box, which is not the case of the Short…

Great cigars. Strong & earthy. Never had any draw problems. Just my preference, but I'd much rather have one than a Partagas Short.

I've always been a fan of the Boli CJ's. They have been very consistant and I prefer them to the PC's.

I also enjoy the Partagas shorts as well.

So get both would be my advice

CJ is a great smoke. Similiar to the PC, but stronger flavors. It is less like the RC (flavor wise). I enjoy them both, and I bet you will too!

I would recommend you go with the Partagas Shorts...but if you are set on Bolivar, I would go CJ over PC. Althought I'm not a huge fan of either....the CEs, GMs and Gigantes are a different story. Love those Bolis.

Not set on Bolivar at all. Quite a mix of opinions coming through here... looks like I might have to bite the bullet and get both

The BCJ is up there with the Party Short as my favorite quick smoke Habano. Great stick if you like Bolivar.

Of course, the CE and PC are better to me, and I like the RC and Gigantes better as well. But for a quickie, the CJ is one of the top 3 for me (Reyes being the other).
