How have the HOYO DE MONTERREY LE HOYO DES DIEUX's been smoking lately? I saw the video review of the 03's but I'm wondering how they are tasting young... The incredible amounts of vanilla they were getting is what gets me so excited! Which other cigars would have this overwhelming vanilla flavor? Please help

Been smoking through two different boxes from 2008 and I cant really say that I´ve gotten any vanilla. Lots of tasty chocolate though!

The Des Dieux is one helluwa cigar IMO!

I've got a box from 06, and though a few have been a bit tighter than I prefer, they are smoking quite well. Plenty of creamy chocolatey goodness!

The Des Dieux have been excellent (08/09).

Vanilla starts coming through with a little age, 5 years - 10 years. Builds slowly and surely over those years.

Rob, what dates are currently available? I've been intrigued, even tempted. A bit worried about the draw.

The box I ordered from CZAR was from 08. First cigar I tried was WOW this one is full of vanilla. Second one was some cedery wood and vanilla.

Very nice cigar indeed but this relatively young box is allready full of vanilla. I can recommend this cigar.

Thanks to the team of FOH!!

I recently purchased 5 Des dieux from 09 and I smoked 2 so far... all I can say if I have been EXTREMELY disappointed with those cigars. Terrible draw, very very tight. the taste profile was very good but ruined due to the plug in the cigar. As far as vanilla, I have definitely had hints of vanilla, very subtle and rare mind you. But in general, it's more of a chocolate cream / woodiness / tea flavour... IMO
