Scarhead Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Greetings - I just joined FOH after lurking for a day or two. I must say that this is the quickest I have joined a forum after lurking. In the past, I have waited after reading the threads and posts or did not join at all. FOH, on the other hand, was quite satisfying because it is so informative, provides excellent information and seems to be completely void of any flaming. These are all key in my decision to join. I hope that I can provide some information to other users and be a beneficial member here. A little about me. I have been a cigar smoker for many years. I got serious about cigars around 1992 or so. I would say that afterwards I became very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, over the years I began to spend less time with the hobby, for a number of reasons, but I never gave up and continued smoking cigars. But I am happy to say that I'm back with an interest of collecting and enjoying cigars from all over the world and namely Cuban cigars. From the time that I was really involved with cigars until today I find that so much has changed. It's interesting to see so many different brands and blends in the industry. This is one of the reasons I have joined here. Not only do I want to be a member of a forum of one of my hobbies, but I am looking to gain knowledge about the many accessories (i.e., cutters, humidors, etc.) nowadays as well as cigars, namely Cuban. I also want to be able to share my knowledge and help out other members. Regards, Scarhead

Scarhead Posted March 9, 2011 Author Posted March 9, 2011 Thank you. I'm looking forward to being here. I'm already learning a lot and absolutely love the reviews.
Peter11216 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Welcome, Looking forward to hearing what you've got to say, since I am quite new to cigars. On the subject of change in cigar culture, you should take a look at a great 19th century book dB69 found the other day (if you haven't already seen it.)
