Classic Rock - Stones, Pink Floyd, Traffic, Rod Stewart Lynard Skynard Allman Brothers Depeche Mode, The Cure, Midnight Oil, Black Crowes Grateful Dead Aerosmith AC/DC The Pogues Tool Metallica Alice in Chains Bob Marley I've got a very large collection of music.
NitrousPurger Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I will listen to John Mayer's "Where the light is (Live)" album for the rest of my life. Guaranteed. I love any of his live stuff. Bob Marley goes great with a Cigar too
Guest rob Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Very diverse range in my collection.. its easier to say what I dont like. Country... I dont like country! Currently lI'm istening to the brilliant Rodrigo y Gabriela!
Puros Y Vino Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I'm into a lot of stuff. For the most part I'm into what's not "popular". My favourite band is UFO and especially their ex lead guitarist Michael Schenker. He makes brilliant albums. Other faves. Scorpions, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Led Zep, Jimi Hendrix, Rush. Other stuff I listen to... Bocelli, classical music, Ultravox, Nine Inch Nails.
Guest Elektrobot Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Most of the stuff from Dim Mak, especially Bloody Beetroots Felix the Housecat Chemical Brothers - all the way back to the Dust Brothers (Brit, not US) Sneaker Pimps or Crystal Method for when I get romantic about my teenage years Socially aware Hip-hop from my younger days, Digital Underground, KRS One, The Pharcyde Jungle and D&B if it's good
mazolaman Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Currently really enjoying Laura Marling. Niel Young, Wilco, Super furry animals, The Unthanks, Gonzales, Feist, Beck, Beatles......etc,stc
CanuckSARTech Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Basically, I enjoy listening to anything relatively, save for most older "twangy" country (not that there's anything wrong with it, I just don't enjoy listening to it myself). Electronic, techno, old school hip hop, rock, jazz, classical, modern pop, you name it. I can easily switch from listening to some really off the map live album or remix album from Bjork or something, cleaning the house, and then switch it up to go outside on my back deck and have a cigar, and crank up the Dave Brubeck, and then finish off the evening listening to a mix of some 70's rock. I grew up with a lot of musical influences around me, so I can "get into" just about anything musically. I've had just as great of a time at a Feist or Shania Twain concert as I have at a Nine-Inch-Nails or Vengaboys concert. If it's got a good beat, some great musical harmony and melody, and is catchy in any way, I enjoy it. Different tunes to please different moods.
JohnnyC Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Music to me depends on the mood I am in. I still have a soft spot for the music I grew up with over the years. From the Beatles to the Clash. Elvis to Led Zepplin. Its all GOOD.
scinmyheart Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I have never really gotten into the more "off the wall" stuff as in less mainstream I graduated high school in 1975 and that time period has led which way I've gone with the music ...mostly traditional rock from late 1960's through late 1970's ..."standard" smooth jazz ...don't mind older country ...South Carolina area beach music
bassman Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Mostly blues, reggae & old school country. Some old bands like Jefferson Airplane & King Crimson. Classical & jazz guitar, and classical keyboard music.
Habanos2000 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I'm into a lot of stuff. Bund... I'm with you 100%. Anything guitar 'driven'. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Randy Rhoads. The guy was my guitar hero when Ozzy came out with Blizzard and Diary and I remember how crushed I was when I heard that he died. Too many great musicians gone too soon. All aboard, hahahhahahahhah!
Nedule Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I mostly listen to rock/alt (new & old), pop, DJ mixed, just no country or death metal, have 30 gigs of music on my iPod. Lately I've really been into Cold War Kids, The Black Keys, Michael Franti/Spearhead, RJD2 to name a few.
dB69 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 It would take too much space to list it all. Jazz to metal, classical to rock, progressive to techno, punk to pop. Let's say, everything but "idols stuff". If I was forced to spend the rest of my life alone in an island and I could take only albums of one band with me - the decision would be difficult to make. But, today I would say Led Zeppelin, or Sex Pistols, or AC-DC, or Herbie Hancock, or Pink Floyd, or..... Who cares, I wouldn't go!
Hemsworth Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Frank Zappa first and foremost...then anything from Jazz to Classical to old rap...classic rock...but mostly these days it has been Death and Black metal.
Hemsworth Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Right now nothing my IPod has locked itself!! Have you tried this?: 1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) 2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
First Lady Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Depends on what mood I am in and to what I listen too Can be Depeche Mode, Style Council, Housemartins (old English Band) , Nina Simone, Florence and the Machine to Josh Stone and opera I like everything except for Heavy Metal, Country and Western but I hate music like Corn - (God I hate this kind of noise with a passion)
Babaloo Posted February 9, 2011 Author Posted February 9, 2011 Frank Zappa first and foremost...then anything from Jazz to Classical to old rap...classic rock...but mostly these days it has been Death and Black metal. Then you would know who Suzie Creamcheese was ?
Hemsworth Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Then you would know who Suzie Creamcheese was ? It can't happen here!
