OZCUBAN Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Phenomenal SJ Figure Hands-on Quote from the Web I have been wanting an action figure version of SJ for a long time. Today, my dream comes true when I received the most phenomenal SJ action figure ever. It looks insanely like Steve, and here’s my first hands-on impressions: It is love at first sight. This SJ action figure is just awesome. It’s pretty interesting to see that it has a tiny body and a big head. When I take an in-depth look on the figure, seriously, the level of detail in this thing is simply amazing. Looking at his face, beard, jeans and sneakers makes me feel that it is a tiny size of SJ standing on my desk. It’s a little bit creepy, but it still looks cool. I just can’t wait to invite my friends to my house to take a look at this. The Body SJ’s outfit is a classic trademark. The black turtleneck and Levi’s 502 jeans are nice. Looking at the back of the jeans, we could see all the details such as the blue denim fabric and pockets. Right below, we could tell it is a pair of New Balance sneakers. Look at that! It looks just like real jeans! The Apple logo acts as a base platform! We are wondering if this is legit… On the right hand, there’s a real tiny iPhone 4. The iPhone is not detachable, but you can disassemble the hand. The home screen is not a paint job, it’s a piece of sticker. The quality of the sticker looks good, and it’s pasted on the iPhone by default, no need to do it by yourself. Even though it’s very small in size, the manufacturer still manage to put an Apple logo on the back of the phone, this is wonderful. We hope there’s a white iPhone 4 to switch. The size of the figure is larger than an iPhone 4. It is taller than an iPhone, shorter than an iPad. The Head This is not a Photoshop. Everything is 100% real and hand-made. I wish you could see the wrinkles from the left and right sides. The hair and beard are pretty well-made, and for the glasses, it is very sleek. You can take off and put on the glasses, but it is quite fragile since it is super tiny in size. Yeah, we like the idea of Steve pulling up his glasses onto his forehead which looks kind of cool. Nice. The Speech Balloon This is the most fun you can have with this SJ figure. Here’s how you play with it: First, you get three speech bubble cards which are bundled with the figure. Next, get a marker (not included) and write anything on the card, including the all-time favorite quotes from SJ. You know, the one more thing. There’s a small little hole on the backside of the head for you to connect a ’stick”. All you have to do is to paste the bubble card on the stick so it appears like a comic. Just like a speech bubble floating in the air. Lastly, you can change the bubble cards anytime. One more thing, you can get an optional accessories kit set which includes a marker, a brush, and 10 pieces of speech bubble cards. The brush is a perfect tool for you to sweep away the dust that accumulates on the SJ figure. The kit set costs $2.99 and you can get it from M.I.C store. Pretty fun. OZ Those who are into this sort of things now have something worth a lot more than they paid for it a "Real limited Edition" I have enough trouble collecting Cigars
samb Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Lol, Im wiling to bet that Apple's not too happy about that...
tsolomon Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Apple has already killed this so you probably have a real collector's item there. The company has since said on its website that it discontinued the line last week at Apple's request after receiving a letter from its attorneys expressing a strong objection to the figurine. “... we have just received an email from a law firm representing Apple Inc. Apple has informed us that this phenomenal SJ action figure, has not consented to the use of Apple's copyrights and trademarks, therefore they request us immediately to cease the marketing and sale of this figure. “So, all Apple fanboys, you are not going to get this phenomenal figure anymore. MIC gadget hereby apologises to Steve Jobs, Apple Inc, and their law firm for any inconvenience caused.”
