After a long day of fasting for Yom Kippur I knew after my meal I would treat myself to something special. I have been smoking from a beautiful box of 1997 El Rey Del Mundo Gran Coronas for a good year now. Every one has been spectacular. While maybe not as good as the 1997 Tainos the Gran Coronas do stand out in their own way. 1997 was a great year for El Rey Del Mundo. The Gran Corona has a very strong floral perfume taste mixed with herbs that is the essence of aged El Rey. The cigar did not disappoint with perfect volume of smoke, perfect burn a wonderful taste. The day I smoke my last one will be very sad. All in all this cigar was pure bliss. Sorry for the evening Blackberry pic.

ERDM Gran Coronas might be the tastiest milder smoke I've had. I've only smoked 01s, but the flavor development is incredible. Even the 01s are getting hard to find now.

I wanted more power to break my fast, so went with a PSP 08 MC#4. This has been a monster box. Stongest post 95 MC#4s I've smoked.

Absolutely love the ERDM Gran Corona. This cigar pairs so well with several of my favorite aged spirits.

I really wish HSA would bring this cigar back. Half a box won't get me through next summer!

These are great cigars, thanks for the review. I like the ERdM Lonsdale as well but have not had a box of these for some time now. Thanks for sharing. -Piggy

Great review. I've yet to try this one, so I'll have to try to find some. I have a box of 97 Tainos that are out of this world.......it's a real shame they have discontinued these cigars.
