It was a beautiful saturday here yesterday. Mid 80s,cool breeze.Lovely. So I decided to go to an outdoor party I had been invited to. And what a party. Here's a rundown of the goodies.

Appetizers: Venison sausage, chili and ribs. Smoked pheasant.Smoked salmon and a variety of cheeses.

Main course: Safron rice paella with chorizo, prawns and mussels. Steamed veggies and fresh bread.

Dessert: Fresh strawberrys and raspberries soaked in their corresponding liqueurs on vanilla ice cream w/ biscotti. And 20 year old port.

Bar: All top shelf aged liquor and local wines from 3 separate local winerys. Fresh mini kegs of local brews. (you name it,they had it)

Music: DJ with a killer sound system and real cool music.

People: Plenty, and everyone was very chill.

So whats not to like right?

The cigar table thats what! I'm not kidding this selection looked like a bargain bin at the dollar store! Not the fact that they were all NCs. Thats perfectly fine. I'm not "that" much of a snob. But these were really the dregs. Off brand bargain bundle dog rockets. I wouldn't touch one. Let alone smoke it! Good thing I had a bag full of primos with me on the truck and frankly so were a few other folks who helped me enjoy some fine cigars and were very happy I had brought them. Including a woman. :)

Just goes to show. You can always find something to ***** about in the best situation. And more importantly...always come prepared! :P

Have a good week everybody and don't forget to spoil yourself!

Being prepared is a must. You never know what you're going to get. I really don't like to venture too far away from what I normally smoke, so I always bring my own.

Sounds like a party at my house - when my buddies show up, and raid my fridge, freezer, bar, and humidor. Only problem is, is I don't really have any crap NC's to try to hock off on them. :P

[by the way - you had me at hello, Wicky. The mention of venison, pheasant, and smoked salmon - I'm drooling now. I may have to dig some of this same stuff out of my freezer!]
