sandholm Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Hi got this from a good friend in the US, he had seen it on a tv channel and then found it on the internet... I dont know what to say...
MIKA27 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 It's amusing to watch however it could have been a different story had that occurred in LA or New York I imagine. That woman must have a death wish doing what she did by coming out of her car and acting like she held a gun with two officers aiming pistols at her. They could have shot her?! Not to mention driving off with their vehicle, again, I'm surprised they didn't open fire... Very lucky and very stupid IMO. Thanks for posting Sandholm.
Kangaroo495 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 It looked like she was dressed in some sort of gorilla costume. Lol. Very funny. I image if it had happened in Russia, the person would've been shot immediately.

Thanks for posting Sandholm. yes, totally agree, NYPD (which has help me many many times), nor any state trooper (which i only have bad experience from) would have let here live, either she is complete nutcase or high, so even if the police officers behave a bit like clowns they should have an medal not killing here.
luisparis Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Lol ! Perhaps it's a PR stunt from US cops fed up of beeing accused of using excessive force
sloth Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 How is this for a PR stunt? http://www.wimp.com/swedenpolice/
sandholm Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 How is this for a PR stunt? http://www.wimp.com/swedenpolice/ its an "art exhibition", it even says on the police officer and the buss... has actually nothing with the police.. now, lets define "art" because according to me, this is not
thechenman Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I hate cops right now. Got pulled over by a NYS Trooper on my way to the train station this morning. Tagged at 75mph in a 55mph zone. Luckily I maintain a residence in CA and have a CA diver's license, or my license would have been revoked long ago here in New York. Apparently I speed a lot.
Colt45 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 How is this for a PR stunt? Now, now. We're only allowed to make fun of the U.S, and exhibit anti U.S. sentiment here. And the Japanese, but just a little.

In defense of the OP's video. The rather prick-ishly sounding voice over guy said that the woman was arrested by more competent policemen and I think we can assume that they were also US policemen.
mazolaman Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Higot this from a good friend in the US, he had seen it on a tv channel and then found it on the internet... I dont know what to say... It seems to have disappeared...
El Presidente Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 What a bullshit story. You have some git doing a voice over from the comfort of his studio. I hate this cheap TV crap where someone who was not there makes up his own version of events. The troopers could have taken her out at any time. The fact that they didn't took a great deal of commendable restraint putting their own lives on the line for the sake of not ending anothers. They ram her car an she gets killed and they are under investigation for a year. They shoot her dead and the front pages go on about a mother of 4 with drug issues, a mental disorder and a replica weapon "gunned down" by trigger happy cops. Instead it is global cheap laughs for the basest of society.

Cops here in America are saddled with so much bureaucratic horseshit I find it a strech that anyone of caliber would even want to serve. But they do. Hats off to them.

Restraint is an understatement yet they were extremely patient. The voice over makes these troopers look really clumsy and stupid yet had they have shot her, those two guys would have been suspended from the force pending an investigation... Again, apologies Piggy but in this instance S.H.I.T makes sense.
samb Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Its not always as easy as it may seem... When things get technical, as they do in pretty much any police act, what seems the most logical step is overridden by department policy. Police have a certain set of rules, codes, regulations, and ethics that they must follow as well. Its this same reason why "uses of force" in the prison are supposed to be recorded..... Because no longer is it acceptable to just beat the **** out of an unruly inmate to gain compliance, steps must be taken and policy must be followed. Now when the women gets out of the car with her faux gun, a taser woulda been a great thing to use. A quick tase to the chest, and that lady woulda been down and arrested with minimal force and a clean and easy report.

I would take up a contrary position for sake of therapy... but in times of cognition we all need to be grateful for progress made and supportive of the therapy already applied. I would say that this is progress and a positive sign. I will thank you all for the Patient, for all your support so far. -LOL Sigmund Piggy
mazolaman Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Rant... This aspect of any society should not be for "telly". We had the nutter Raoul Moat (crazy gunman) being stalked and eventually killing himself, pretty much live on sky tv. Some people stayed up all night to watch it draw to a grim end. This is a horrible aspect of media culture. We now have raoul Moat as a celebrity, with people wearing his face on t shirts. Tv is the idiot box....
Kangaroo495 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Gents, come on. You'd have to admit, Cop#2 and his falling over behind the vehicle was classic!
bunburyist Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 The rather prick-ishly sounding voice over guy... Can you imagine what he looks like? Something like this for example? His name is Quentin. As for the vid....2min of life gone.
ucla695 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Looks like Keystone Cops to me. A simple PIT maneuver would have ended it a LOT earlier!

You hate them because you were caught breaking the law? LOL! I've had my fair share of speeding tix over the years and the only person I can blame is myself....because I wasn't smart enough not to get caught. LOL! My wife was snapped by a speed camera in AZ and it hit our insurance so it still might be coming. Just my 2c.

CanuckSARTech Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Looks like Keystone Cops to me.A simple PIT maneuver would have ended it a LOT earlier! Exactly. The first time she looped around the lead cruiser, that rear cruiser (the one with the camera) should have gone and pinned her car right down in the ditch. Then, guns drawn, drag her stupid ass out the window and into the snow to be cuffed. But, that's what a Canadian cop would do. It seemed like those Kentucky LEO's were worried about the snow on the ground, and not wrecking their cruisers.
