El Presidente Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Ok we had better start putting together this years FOH-NFL Comp. Three things: 1. The best site to run the competition at (after last years final rounds disaster). 2. Have the Bucs got a hope? 3. Who are the favourites?
Wicky Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 2. Have the Bucs got a hope? Sorry Ken. It's all about a Quarterback and an Owner! Two strikes...and heeeeere comes the pitch!
CanuckSARTech Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I live a stone's throw away from Detroit, with the Lions, and therefore ...... go Steelers!!! Tampa Bay Buccaneers??? No way. Sorry, no pirate love for you here. For AFC/NFC in the playoff finals / SuperBowl? Either Steelers or Colts (or Jets as my longshot), facing off against the Saints or Giants (or the Cowboys as my longshot).
rckymtn22 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 1. Agreed.... that reminds me I can't remember a winner of last season's pool ever being announced. 2. Nope 3. Colts, Pitts, Saints, my Cowboys, Vikings were there but are now done (hung around waiting to long for gimpy guy)
khomeinist Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Favorites? Jets, Ravens, Colts, Saints, Cowboys, Packers Lots of dark horses. Texans. Redskins. Bungles. 49ers Pats, Steelers, Phish, Chargers, Giants, Vikings should all be relevant unfortunately. My Buffalo/Toronto Bills? New GM. New coaches. New defensive scheme. Same quarterback. Same owner. Should be a looooong year.
Habanakane21 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Gotta go with my old team...The New Orleans Saints
SandmanTR Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Steelers gentlemen! Even with Bens suspension they'll be in the hunt.
Wicky Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Steelers gentlemen! Even with Bens suspension they'll be in the hunt. Don't get cocky kid!
Habanakane21 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 New England Patriots all the way! oh no...not a Patriot Fan
khomeinist Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Nice photos Shane. I remember your Husky avatar as well. Cal fan here. You ever line up against my favorite player Steve Tasker on special teams? He was a beast. Should be in the Hall in my opinion. Patrick
Habanakane21 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Nice photos Shane. I remember your Husky avatar as well. Cal fan here. You ever line up against my favorite player Steve Tasker on special teams? He was a beast. Should be in the Hall in my opinion. Patrick No I didn't. He was a little guy...we had our smaller, speedy players on him...but it never worked. Steve was just too good. But I busted Drew Bledsoe's ass for 2 int and 12 tackles in Foxbough in '95. I agree Steve was a great player. It's hard for a special teamer to get into the Hall. FYI CAL Bears are going down this year!!!
khomeinist Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Ha. While Cal may indeed be mediocre this year, the UDub game is in Berkeley and more importantly, Huskies are.....how can I put it..... Not Scary. Locker is nice though. Maybe he will play well and my Bills will give him a shot with their inevitable top-five pick. Bledsoe. Where do I start? Well. We can agree that Cougar QBs look best post-sack, on the turf. I was not fond of his Patriot nor Bills days.
nonameno Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Hello Gentlemen, Of course much is dependent upon the soap opera which is Brett Favre... He just announced he's gonna stay home and chase chickens around the house, but that's because he hates summer camp practice. There is plenty of time for him to change his mind 7 or 8 times before the season starts. If he retires, look for the Vikings to make a deal of a veteran quaterback! The Vikings will be entertaining, if nothing else. I can't get tooooo excited anymore, having lost my heart 4 times in the Super Bowl with them already years ago. Thank you, Curtiss
Erm310mce Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 New England Patriots all the way! Fantastic, good to see other Pat fans here! Welker is back and already looking strong. Pats will be a strong contender this year!
scroggers Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Espn and cbs sportsline both have nice sites for picing games (not sure they can handle 100 plus people thought) Bucs have little chance Favorites AFC Colts, Jets, Ravens, Chargers NFC Saints, Cowboys, Packers Sleepers 49ers, Cincy, Steelers, Pats, Atlanta
BobLobLaw Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Yahoo is the best IMO. Looking forward to this.
FireDigger Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Yahoo is the best IMO. Looking forward to this. I agree.. here is a link: http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/pickem ESPN is good too, although their pick'em site is not up yet.
SandmanTR Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 CBS has one. Never used so I'm not sure on the quality. http://football.cbssports.com/splash/football/spln/opm
Colt45 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 BOOM. I'm looking forward to the Patriots getting the Raiders' first round pick next year
Habanakane21 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Yes! Now that's football...Blue 22...Blue 22...hut hut hut
BigGuns Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I'm looking forward to the Patriots getting the Raiders' first round pick next year Not sure if next year's draft is deep enough to still get a good pick at 31!
cookie_1978 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 It will be Pittsburgh. Start will be 2-2, then big Ben will save the day for the last 12 games. 11-5 finish, all the way to the superbowl. As for a site, I would go with one of the big three - yahoo, cbs sportsline, or espn. I was close last year, this year I plan on winning.
