El Presidente Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 It was great to have Andrew (Bunburyist) join Shagga and myself for breakfast this morning at Buzz cafe....our usual haunt. Andrew was in for business from Hong Kong for the weekend and we had a window to catch up this morning before his mid morning flight to Sydney. I have to pay Andrew...he is a lad. After a late night boozing session with his business associates he joined us at 6:45 am looking remarkably refreshed Shagga was in fine form having us both in stitches as he detailed his horror story on the weekend of his mobile phone being stolen. In his natural environment at the local pub, he went up to the betting window to place a bet when he noticed his new Nokia N 97 missing. Knowing full well that a betting agency in a Pub is not frequented by the most celubrious of characters, he scanned the pokie room and general bar area. "There he was, this brazen prick, feet up on a lounge, texting away on my "Fing phone". Shagga had a gutfull and went up to the thief. "What the "F" do you think you are "F....g" doing you piece of S" Now...Brad can look and sound a little intimidating. He does bare a striking resemblance to the inmates on "America's Hardest Prisons". The thief, quite terrified, ....handed the phone to Shagga. ....it wasn't Shagga's phone. Who would have thought there could be more than one Nokia N 97's in the world The barmaid found and delivered his phone a few minutes later After a fine breakfast and plenty of laughs Andrew and I headed back to Czar House where he met Lise (in at 7:30 am...what a honey) and later Smithy. Ouick Partagas Short and coffee in the morning sun on the deck, a quick tour of the local sights and back at the hotel by 9;30 am to prep for his flight. Great to catch up Andrew! See you in Hong Kong!

They tried it here but all the Aussie prisoners kept telling the film crews to piss off. The US prisoners all behave like they are on Opra or Springer .....much better programming for Fox

I didn't even feel close to refreshed (but thanks...), I felt terrible. Thanks for advising me on the hotel as well, good choice. In asia they're known as tug parlours / love motels but if you like that kind of thing then fair dinkum. First visit to Gold Coast and Brisbane...what a fantastic place that is. BBQs and fishing ahoy. Perfect weather. Best seafood I've had in ages. Nightlife.....questionable. Catch up in hk mate

Ben Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Nightlife.....questionable. Questionable to say the least. That's why all my Brissy trips are flying visits. Though I must say last time I had to stay in Surfers for a convention I had a cracking time at the local watering holes.
