Colt45 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Thanks. That's sounds better than the 156mm and 52 ring. The only cigar I'm aware of at the exact size of 52 x 156 is the pirámide. I suspect there's a mistake with the size - in either dimensions or name. We'll see once the list is final.
PigFish Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 ... God I hate being a forgone conclusion! I think Van represented my opinion along side his own. I will only say that this is a list Monica Lewinsky would be proud of. Those who enjoy taking one up there as well; you are in good company!!! To each his own! As another poster said, "the market gets what the market wants." I add, even if it wants it up the wazoo! - Maj. Piggy (leader of the proletariat smoking movement)
mm12 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I thought La Flor Del Cano was supposed to re-release their short robustos as a regional edition in 2011? Anyone know what is going on with this? This is coming out in the UK this year.
jayro75 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Edmundo Dantes Sublime size.. can IEPT be any lazier? What are they re-banding Monte Sublimes leftovers?
mazolaman Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 The Bolivar Britanica catches my eye(luckily!) But am also curious about the Fonseca...... Theyve obviously discovered the marketing possibilities of the petit robusto....
jquest63 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Oh Boy! I love new cigar announcements! Overall looks like some exciting things are on the way, although lack of skinnies is a disappointment.
eman67 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 This is coming out in the UK this year. Cool, thanks for the follow up!
CanuckSARTech Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Errrgh. It seems like the Canadian (Havana House) ER's end up being so-so's, especially when compared to some of the other Regionals from other areas in the world in the past years. I'll wait for further additions to the LE's.
Wicky Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Nice marketing campaign. Where's piggy? Toros became all the rage here years ago. Personnally I never got it.
craigos Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Whats IEPT? The Edmundo Dante Sublimes caught my eye.
cvm4 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Whats IEPT? The Edmundo Dante Sublimes caught my eye. IMPORTADORA Y EXPORTADORA DE PUROS Y TABACOS
Mr. Japan Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Yes la ESCEPTION will be released to Italy for two years and yes it is same vitola of the connie 2 ( 38*166). I also heard that the EL Ramon Allones 2011 will have the old green band :-)
bassman Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 If the La Esception vitola is even close to the old blend, I'm buying. As for pricy Fonseca REs, I'm quite happy with a $104 box of Fonseca #1s, thank you.

I agree, with the exception of the Simones.
El Presidente Posted July 28, 2010 Author Posted July 28, 2010 I think the distributors are working out how to best use the Regional Release concept. Unless I am mistaken I think you will find that the releases will be in the main between 25000-50000 cigars. This allows some unique experimentation. The Quai D'Orsay Robusto is a case in point. Quai D'Orsay is largely unknown in Asian markets. This is an excellent example of revitalizing interest. While I do not know the numbers produced I suspect it will not be large. I hope the trend continues.
craigos Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 IMPORTADORA Y EXPORTADORA DE PUROS Y TABACOS Which means? Country? Region?
cigarros Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 And I am pleased to finally see at first time since ER founded Russia in this list: Top Cigars will provide us Boli Emperador - Hermoso No.2 (48 x 157).
MontrealRon Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 And I am pleased to finally see at first time since ER founded Russia in this list: Top Cigars will provide us Boli Emperador - Hermoso No.2 (48 x 157). That will surely be one of the best on the list. Enjoy, Dimitri!

Trevor2118 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Which means? Country? Region? For a complete list of distributors and their regions, see: http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/lists/07-distributors.htm
Trevor2118 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 This is a bit confusing. A parejo is 38 x 6 1/2, as in the Partagas Serie du Connaisseur No.2. So I'm not sure what to make of the cigar on the list. My advise (from an Italian source) is that it is actually the Parejos Vitolas de Galera (factory name), size 38 x 166mm. That is: The La Escepcion Selectos Finos for Italy.
aavkk Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 If the La Esception vitola is even close to the old blend, I'm buying. Steve, you hit the nail on the head. I just dont think they can do it but I hope they prove me wrong. I still remember smoking the one and only La Escepcion Longos from the mid 80's last year like it was yesterday- the best cigar I have ever smoked. I have to admit that while I hate the sizing on so many of these regionals they are consistently tasty- especially the RA's and I value flavor much higher than anything else in the overall smoking experience. I find that if a cigar tastes amazing I find myself overlooking other shortcomings.
