Cubanface Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I found two cigar boxes in my buddy's basement. I've searched everywhere (Trevor's wonderful site and many other places) to find the year they were sold and what shape the cigars were that were in the boxes. The first box is a Romeo y Julieta Coronas De Luxe that is big enough to hold 25 Double Coronas which is what I think it did. The Second is a tiny H. Upmann Seleccion de Sumprema No. 101 box made for Alfred Dunhill of London. I have obviously heard of Dunhill's and I know Cigar Aficionado did a review on the No. 22 Seleccion Suprema from H Upmann but I haven't seen the 101's anywhere. They are in pretty rough shape and very sadly have no cigars in them but I thought they were interesting and thought I would share. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Cubanface Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 Lol Oz. Not quite, but thanks for the compliment.
cigarros Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Awesome piks! http://gotham-cigar-museum.com/sale.aspx I think they're know more you are looking for! Good luck!
Cubanface Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 I now know they are pre-revolution because of the stamp on the bottom and the lack of date. If you ever read this post Trevor, can you enlighten me on the sizes of the cigars or the years of production. If I'm really lucky maybe a picture of the cigar?
Disburden Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 These are really cool history pieces. That's a great find, good luck in researching the dates on them!
