mkz Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Thanks for the notes on a great cigar that one tend to overlook sometimes! These are really nice cigars that I tend to choose when wanting a corona gorda on the milder side. Have had a couple of plugged ones, but those are easily forgotten by the rest... Spot on with that sweet cream and coffee!
khomeinist Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 This is one of my favorite cigars from 2008. Construction, body, complexity, price point. Tick the boxes. I am glad they bumped up the strength of these.
El Presidente Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Fantastic Review Have been enjoying the hell out recent JS S1 offerings.

Didn't want it to end. 95 points I will vouch that Ayala was and did enjoy this cigar. Sat down with him on the deck with my morning coffee to discuss the great victory by the Stormers over the dirty Tah Tahs and he seemed to be just looking off into the distance and not taking in a word. When he did speak it didn't make much sense either, now I realise it was the cigar that had him all dazed and confused.
Bahnofstrasse Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 I really enjoy the JL 1 & 2's. Great smokes... If you ever have the chance, try the JL Maximos Suiza Edition from 2008. On my most recent trip to Zurich, it was my smoke of choice as they are still readily available at most shops in the city. Medium to Full, those great JL flavors, burns like a DuraFlame, another pleasurable smoke out of the JL line.
BolivarSmoker Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 I have been loving my 08 cab. You are spot on in your descriptions.
mazolaman Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Recently got a box of these, from 09.Still a bit young, and need 6months in the humi.....still quite bitter, and maybe a little underfilled. I'm hoping they will come out well,as I have only heard great things......
