Followed up big breakfast, with coffee and Juan Lopez Selecction #1 circa 2007

Prelight Aroma - Rich tobacco, humid soil and spice

Opening Notes - Light Cedar, Coffee grounds, madeira mushroom sauce, sweet cream, a well balanced blast

1st Major transitioin - Backbone of fresh almond untoasted, marzipan, honeydew melon w/fresh lemon, sweet cream, lavender, very well balanced.

2nd Major transition - salted cashews, honeydew melon, lemon cream, sweet cream

Last third - Coffee, sweet cream, cinammon, light cedar, rich tobacco

Smoke time - 1 hour 15 minutes

Overall experience: Outstanding smoke, complexity, aromatic, ash firm, only one relight due to deliberate smoking pace. Didn't want it to end. 95 points

Thanks for the notes on a great cigar that one tend to overlook sometimes!

These are really nice cigars that I tend to choose when wanting a corona gorda on the milder side. Have had a couple of plugged ones, but those are easily forgotten by the rest... B) Spot on with that sweet cream and coffee!

This is one of my favorite cigars from 2008. Construction, body, complexity, price point. Tick the boxes. I am glad they bumped up the strength of these.

I will vouch that Ayala was and did enjoy this cigar. Sat down with him on the deck with my morning coffee to discuss the great victory by the Stormers over the dirty Tah Tahs and he seemed to be just looking off into the distance and not taking in a word. When he did speak it didn't make much sense either, now I realise it was the cigar that had him all dazed and confused.

I really enjoy the JL 1 & 2's. Great smokes...

If you ever have the chance, try the JL Maximos Suiza Edition from 2008.

On my most recent trip to Zurich, it was my smoke of choice as they are still readily available at most shops in the city.

Medium to Full, those great JL flavors, burns like a DuraFlame, another pleasurable smoke out of the JL line.
