Smokin Bulldog Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 The wife and I have a few days to visit Tampa and I was wondering what are some "can't miss restaurants" in the area. Also, what other attractions are good. Thanks for any information. Chris
LateApex Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I made a very brief trip to Ybor City and found it worth while. It used to be the cigar capital of the United States. I hear it can be a bit dodgy at night, so you may want to keep it to daylight hours. Fun cigar themes (rollers, retail, coffee shops, restaurants,... ) I really want to try a Cuban sandwich next time! PM me and I am happy to expand on my experience.
kilroy Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I'm here in Tampa along with a couple other FoH members. There are tons of great places to eat/drink. When are you coming into town? Perhaps we can setup a meet up of the local FoHers.
Bartolomeo Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I suggest Ybor City then maybe a trip out to the beaches to see the sights Lots of fun, little cigar shops in Ybor to poke your head into Bart
Tampa1257 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I highly suggest that you take Kilroy up on the suggestion about getting together with local FOH'ers. He and Professor Twain can show you and your wife a great time and know all the good places. Ybor City is a must see in my opinion.
Smokin Bulldog Posted February 16, 2010 Author Posted February 16, 2010 PM sent to Kilroy, because that sounds like fun!
