Hey everyone,

I figured I would make my first post where it counted-- in the newbie intro forum!

A little about myself:

I live in Norfolk for 32 weeks out of the year (For those who are curious, I go to Old Dominion University, where I study Music Education), and it's a love/hate relationship. It seems to be rainy or windy, but on occasion, the weather is absolutely perfect for cigar smoking!

I started smoking cigars the instant I turned 18. I'll admit that I started smoking Dutch Masters initially (didn't change the filler-- if you catch my drift), then I moved on to 'real' cigars. I began enjoying cheap house brands from a certain mail order company in Tampa, FL, for a bit before I started going to my local B&M. I now smoke all sorts of cigars (mostly NC), and I really enjoy Rocky Patel, and more recently the Serie R, from La Gloria Cubana.

In the fall of 2009, I made my first step into the world of Habanos. I blindly ordered a box of Por Larranaga Montecarlos for $99 from a vendor in Switzerland. After panicking for 7 days (I was initially afraid of US customs taking my smokes), they appeared in my dorm mailbox. I remember the caramel sweetness from these little smokes, and I've never gone back! Speaking of which, I should have a box of Montecristo "Clubs" in my mailbox on Friday ;-)

Why am I here? Though I love James Suckling and the CA forums, I'm tired of all the bitching and moaning on the forums, so I decided to make an account here! I'm really enjoying it so far!

Cheers,

--Tyler

You've made a very wise move Tyler. I bet youll really enjoy it here. This place is great and it lacks the bitching, moaning, as well as the tossers and wankers present on another place that youre familiar with.

Welcome to the forum from an '06 ODU graduate! Currently live in Newport News--but commute to VA Beach for work (yeah-I live in the HRBT).

Never been to Crocs, but may just take some time on 22nd for a herf.

Looks like a lot of FOH'ers are in the Hampton Roads area. I will not be there on the 22nd (In South Korea at the moment) but hopefully I will get to meet some of you in March!
