El Presidente Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 100 FOH'ers played the comp this year which was going swimmingly until the three week collapse of TOPTIPPER, our competitions host site. Some people were able to log tips, others couldn't, most gave up (including me). Crap happens and this was one of those situations. We will move onto another comp provider this year but in the past 4 years there has barely been a hick up. I have to make a ruling on the winner for the comp. I am going to split the prize between the leader at the final complete round posted before the collapse (will go back through the updates) and the leader at the end of the Superbowl next Monday. If that person is one in the same...great. If there is a tie either end then the prize will be split for that portion. That is about as fair as I can get it. While it was not our fault I do apologise for the sheer disappointment of a great comp coming off the rails. Onwards and upwards
purosdave Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Nice move Rob and I don't see how anybody could complain! Bravo!
BobLobLaw Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I was one of the ones who gave up after being unable to log in. I wholeheartedly support a change of venue as I found the Toptipper site tedious and only had game for 7 days. 1 vote for Yahoo next year! Thanks Prez!
FireDigger Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 what exactly was this competition? Person with the most number of correct straight up NFL picks throughout the regular season gets a box of cigars from FOH.
Tampa1257 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I still finished in 60th place out of 100, hope to do better next year.
