Ken Gargett Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I cant fathom how Petite Coronas are 9 times more popular than Double Corona.. I would of loved to see the results of this same poll 40+ years ago.. I mean don't get me wrong, there are plenty of top notch PC's out there, but to me there just isn't enough time to fully appreciate and reflect on a cigar that size. A great DC experience stays with me for weeks, I just don't seem to get the same satisfaction from a PC or something of the likes. Each to their own though! in complete agreement. but shouldn't this topic be titled 'your go to vitola and the two next best'? do0esn't the concept of a 'go to vitola' rule out more than one?

I had the same dilemma in voting when this poll was first posted. The classification of "go to" is not the same as "favorite" or "most desired". I, too, would argue that if there was no consideration to make besides which vitola I would want to smoke at any given moment, a double corona would be the one for me. However, I tend to "go to" a petit corona or robusto way more often than a DC because of time/place constraints. I tend to think that the OP, senor jefe himself, had this complication in mind when creating the post...

I voted for petit coronas and robustos because, more often than not, I reach for them when I want a smoke. I don't often get more than an hour or so to sit and enjoy. If I did, my 'go to' would be very different....

I am usually able to eke out 30 mins free time if I push things and can occasionally get lucky and get an hour to myself once a week or so. Anything beyond that is very iffy. I usually end up smoking while I'm roasting coffee, which is about a 30 min affair. I simply can't squeeze time in for big cigars. Believe me, I'd love to be able to regularly "sit and contemplate". -- Gary F.

I wanted to have an HSA view. What people actually spend their hard earned on (you replace your "go to" regularly but not necessarily your favourite).
stargazer14 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I'm glad someone is clearing this up - I saw this thread starting off to quickly on 'most wanted smoke'- rather than 'go-to'. that said, I'll grab a petit corona.
pitbulljimmy Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 I went Panatellas, Coronas, and Robustos.... although I tend to lean more heavily towards the Coronas.
