  1. Jar at home, Pile on my desk at work. Hell sometimes, they end up in the Laundry fuzz basket.
  2. Feces to your Food.........HAHAHA Love it!!!
  3. Triple flame torch is my new preferred method and after cutting. However, I have used a Bic many times and on occasion, the Crack lighter in the kitchen next to the stove.
  4. I've taken a 10 yr Single malt or Gentleman jack whiskey and coated the sides of a cigar many times before smoking to enhance the spiciness and slow down the Burn of the wrapper. However, this was always done just prior to light up. I have never tried what you are talking about, but then again, I tend to have my smoke breaks in life just kinda happen instead of planning on them for a day or so. Interesting Post to read for sure.
  5. Welcome, glad to see another So Cal on here
  6. Nice to see another Cali on here< Welcome and enjoy your Cubans
  7. Atchbo, Come on down to So Cal. Its supposed to be 75 here on Wednesday in Ventura County. I cant complain about nothing.
  8. Decided to try out a Partagas Lusitania for a night cap with a fairly large Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Ale. Lovin the amount of smoke on this big boy. One hell of a stogie. Started the night off watching the Space Shuttle Discovery and Space Station Cruise by. Now enjoying the Southern Cal weather. Beautiful night.
  9. El Rey Del Mundo, Petit Corona today for lunch. Been chewing on it all morning and prelight tastes like some grass and chocolate with a hint of raisin. After the cigar now and I did not feel the love from this guy. I read where it was a light smoke and I would agree. Not too much smoke in the first 3rd and really no flavor to speak of. 2nd 3rd had more smoke and the Grass flavor started to pick up. Last 3rd was more of the same. I have a few more of these and will keep them for a 3rd or 4th smoke in a long evening after my pallet has been killed.
  10. When the embargo lifts, prices will rise Well I plan on having a good 400-600 sticks by then so I can wait for prices to come back to normal.
  11. Never thought about it. But My office I keep my Humi in does fluctuate in temp from about 10-20 degrees during the season. So it has been a problem in my little controlled environment.
  12. Just tried one of these for Lunch but I do not have the Box code info. Very pleasant wit a touch of Spiciness to it. Nice even draw. Burned Smooth with no retouching. About a 30 min. smoke.
  13. Excellent review! I bought 2 boxes of these little gems and they are sitting in my Humi. They are great with coffee in the morning and are a big cigar in a little format. A great 20 minute smoke.
  14. Yes, I agree these are a great mid morning smoke with a cup of good coffee. Great review. I am slowly burning my way through a cabinet of these as well after reading reviews of them on Cuban Lou's before I found this forum.
  15. I would have to agree with everything you stated about the Siglo I. I bought a box from 08 in Spain while I was there over the summer and have found it is my favorite coffee break 30 minute smoke at work. I bought another box 09 from an online source and no change in quality. Thank you for the Post and Review!
  16. I had an exchange student from Bordeaux and her parents brought my family and I out there for a few weeks. I visited Paris, Bordeaux, Basque County, Bilbao Spain, and we hit the Riviera for Cannes, Monaco and St Tropez. We had a bout 3 weeks so there was a lot of traveling but it was a good head start for future visits. Of course, I came back with quite a few Cubans from both France and Spain. Pretty new to them though so go easy on me!
  17. About 2-3 a week for me and usually during work for a short break with a Siglo 1 and a cup of coffee.
  18. HAHAHA, I'll have to remember that. I bought a few of the Open Eagles and found they are an easy smoke, but not too harsh. They are good to give to my Rookie friends when they come over as I know it won't turn them green.
  19. Greetings from California. I have been converted to the Dark Side after having the pleasure of a trip to France over last summer and am hooked on Great Cubans ever since. Stock my Humi up with many a good stick and am just trying to find the time to learn to enjoy each and every one. I hope to learn up from you guys here about the nuances of each and hope I can contribute to the forum on a regular basis. Favorite sticks so far!
