  1. I picked up "The Treasure Dome" as an imperfect years ago for a little over $100. I really wasn't expecting much but it is a beautiful humidor, has a great seal and I have had some cigars that have spent years inside. Does a great job at holding the humidity. I think it is a 250 count. As always, ditch the garbage humidifier and hygrometer.
  2. Way to go man! She's a beaut! Humidor ain't too shabby either.
  3. I use cast iron for everything.
  4. I have been known to spontaneously burst into song and dance around the camp fire when Brittney Spears' "Toxic" comes on. It's a refreshing departure from the usual Death/ Black metal stuff that is spewing from my radio.
  5. I rather enjoy Piedra, to be honest. I'm out now, but I generally like to have a box or two on hand. They are tasty little numbers that merely lack complexity. The price can't be beat! I've never had a Vegueros, so I can't comment on those. I've had three or four Fonseca's...didn't enjoy them very much. While I do have a few gifted Guantanameras in my humidor, I've never actually tried one. Perhaps I'll do that while cleaning the garage today. I vote none!
  6. I'm going to go back to...15 years ago, maybe? I had registered with CA's website and they had a promotion where a name was drawn every month for a free box. Now, I in no way expected to win plus I am in Canada, so I wouldn't have imagined that they would even try sending me a box. Well lo and behold, I come home from work one day to find a box of Don Tomas something or other in my mailbox! That was a great day and of course, to me, they were just about the best cigars that money could buy!
  7. No. No, no, no. Absolutely NOT going to play this game.
  8. I've never understood why it is considered a crisis to finally be able to afford that which you have always desired. My pick changes on a daily basis but lately it teeters between a Viper or a GTR. Or maybe a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT.
  9. I think that this is the best idea yet. A friend of mine's ex-wife sent him to one of these Nascar Experience things where you get to drive the cars around the track. He still talks about it. I hate Nascar but I would love to take one for a rip.

404 - Not Found. I tried digging around the site a bit to no avail.
  11. My nephew gave me a bag of "Death Wish" coffee for Christmas. Horrid stuff. It gets so many good reviews, I just don't understand.
  12. Welcome! I love upstate NY. I spend a lot of time in the Chazy Lake/ Lyon Mountain area.
  13. I'm running the Behmor as well. I haven't bothered with the upgrade yet. I always order the beans from sweet maria's. I will roast 1/2 lb. at a time and also enjoy tasting the differences from fresh to 3 days old. I still prefer fresh, right out of the roaster. Day three is usually pretty fantastic as well but I find the 1 and 2 day old beans seem to lose their way. It's pretty interesting, really. I generally have 7 or 8 different beans on hand and I always drink it black. I also have settled on the single cup pour over method as the one for me.
  14. +2...doesn't help with the running out of fresh, home roasted beans though. I refuse to run out. When I'm down to 5 lbs. of green beans, I order the next 20 lbs.
  15. Very interested to see if this can happen.
  16. Ask yourself if providing that service is what made your business a success.
  17. We have a seasonal campsite in 1000 Islands. Every weekend from the middle of May to the middle of October, we are camping. I couldn't imagine life without it. That being said...all that I have to pack is beer, clothes, food and cigars. It takes me 10 minutes. We are lucky to have a very secluded site up in the bush away from other campers (at the insistence of the park warden after our one year that we spent in general population) but a quick stagger down to the boat docks. I don't think that I could do the parking lot style RV camping. That just seems weird.
  18. Great pictures by the way. I really enjoyed looking through them. Just some beautiful installs.
  19. Nice to see the Linear Power in that CV van. I have a 3.2 and 2.2 HV kicking around somewhere. Power hungry pigs but sooo clean.
  20. It has been a few years since I was into the scene...but best bang for the buck for me were CDT speakers. Particularly the Eurosport line. I have no idea if they are still of the same quality these days, however. Very nice highs out of the tweets...not too tinny or shrill.
  21. $500/yr AND free beer?? If I ever follow through with moving to AUS...I know what neighbourhood I will be choosing.
  22. It has me wanting to try one...and I'm not a cocktail guy.
  23. I have had exactly ONE Short Churchill. It was a wonderful cigar. My first time tasting cherry notes in a cigar. My next box will be RyJ something...just not sure yet.

  25. I will not rest until I taste caramel bees in a cigar.
