This is completely due to the sheer oversupply of the Siglo De Oro - This was one if not the biggest failure of Habanos in recent memory if not of all time. Distributors and retailers across the board are stuck with these boxes which are not moving at all even at steep discounts/cost. Some retailers have them listed for $6000+ USD per box while others who just want to move the stock are in the $2,900 Range. The duty free is probably doing this as they have hundreds of boxes of Siglo De Oro not moving and everyone wants the Fenix so why not clear the Siglo De Oro with the Fenix. Simple business.

Habanos has informed all distributors globally of the new increase confirmed for January 1/23. Increase globally is as follows: Cohiba Behike - 50% Other Cohiba Cigars - from 3% to 15% depending on format/size - i.e.) Siglo VI hit with 15% Trinidad Brand - 3% Montecristo Linea 1935 - 5% Romeo Y Julieta Linea de Oro - 10% Global Brands - 10% HIgh Value Brands - 10% Rest of the Brands - Habanos Portfolio - 5%

Guys this is just a simple quality control issue on the part of Habanos...we have seen issues like this thousands of times over and over...CA just didnt catch it. probably to caught up in the $ they spent getting the box. the box codes are correct as these are what is popping up in the duty free's across the region in Middle East. some poor lad in the factory stuffed the premiere boxes with the 10 count cigars instead of the premiere 5 count cigars....nothing more and nothing less. dont read to much into...and start saying they are fakes. to a fake a box like this takes precision factory which is just not worth it - if u seen the boxes like i have in the shops its no where near the regular boxes coming out of cuba. they can fake the wooden boxes easily but not these...

they will be in line with the LE pricing no where near the reserva or gran reserva pricing. you can find cohiba robustos reservas for 1050 USD in duty frees in europe and middle east right now.

i purchased a box when i was in CR. its actually 54x150. same format as the Montecristo Eagle - Geniales is the factory name. i will post some pictures shortly with a review.

these have been planned for some time alongside the Cohiba shorts. due to production issues they were delayed and continue to be delayed. probably wont see any till late 2019. as the cohiba shorts are also in severe shortage from Habanos.

Official Habanos distributor in Ukraine is Phoenicia Trading. They already operate an LCDH in Kiev. LCDH are very hard to operate and are all usually own/operated by distributors of Habanos as way to be on the good side of Habanos executives etc.

Anyone has to be crazy to think that Imperial Tobacco/Habanos will allow any FDA regulations, payments, trademarks etc. to stop them from entering the largest premium cigar market in the world. They have been gearing up for this day for a long long time. Money will be spent in large sums to ensure their investment pays off including trademark payments, FDA payments etc. The money wont be coming from Habanos either it is all Imperial Tobacco. Hence their reorganization of the Altadis USA, the purchase of JR Cigars/Cigar Inn, the expansions of the Montecristo Lounges with other B&M's, focus on internal distribution. Its part of the grand plan. Every current cigar maker in the USA who doesnt sell another cigar outside of the USA will tell you they aint coming and they are going to face issues with the FDA thats their plan.

been seeing a lot of people posting pictures of them smoking this cigar (H.Upmann Magnum 56 2015 LE) on instagram etc. hasnt been released to the best my knowledge from Habanos but seeing a ton of photos lately. we shouldnt seen any 2015 LE till the fall. just wondering if these are pretty good fakes hitting the market or legit cigars. anyone seen any in person and can comment?

what i have heard from official channels is this is an issue of the wrapper shortage as well the closure of the factory for major repairs. the combination of the two have lead to a major shortage.

Finally seeing the last of the 2014 releases becoming available in markets along with the new aged range from Habanos.

I can confirm that Habanos has indicated that they will not be delivering any BHK's inparticular the 56's till the end of Q1 2015.

usually 200-300 MC are produced of limited edition cigars around the 100,000 cigar mark depending on the qty per mastercase and the brand

I can tell you there is more then 66 MC produced and that the price is anywhere from $495 to $520 depending on location etc.
